The staff is the nicest, always available for tips and helping you, the ambiance is really nice with a lot of people visiting the bar and doing barbecues, highly recommend !!!

A cozy place to stay when you're in Cape Town. Close to many restaurants.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Affordable accommodation, friendly staff, and pizza Thursdays lol. A very nice backpackers with single/private rooms, dorms and outside area for those who likes camping "tent space". There's a swimming pool, lovely bar under a lappa next to the pool, and daily tours can be arranged if you need to of Cape Town

I didn't stay lon enough to get a proper feel of the place but I think it's great for a low budget student sleep-in.

First impression was a bit underwhelming, although when we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised. Twin ensuite room was neat and cosy. The kitchenette was also quaint. Unfortunately the breakfast was somewhat of a disappointment. The notices say breakfast is served from 07:00 however the staff only START preparing breakfast at 07:00. Dont expect to eat breakfast if you need to be somewhere by 08:00 The bar area is nice and cosy aswell however they dont stock much of a range.

I had a great stay at Green Elephant, I like the sense of community that the place has. The staff are very helpful and they're always ready to assist you in making the most of your visit to Cape Town. Also once you get a hold of it, transport is not to bad or rather getting the cheapest local taxi's are very easy. It's easy to get to town.

Through many countries and many hostels, this spot will always hold a special place in my heart. The staff, the guests, and the locals who can't help but stop by make this a truly special place that anyone passing through Cape Town would be truly lucky to experience.

nice place to stay if you're a backpacker. It is really dusty and if you stay in the room under the stairs (which I unfortunately got) you will not have much sleep since people walk up and down the stairs a lot. I was staying here because I just needed a bed to sleep since I go out everyday for an adventure :)

Friendly place, a very good place to go to. Affordable, their kitchen is spacious, you can cook and chill outside with good company. I still go there to chill at the bar.
