There are 2 Holiday Inns in Sandton. I contacted reservations several days in advance of my trip to confirm our room and arrival. Agent continued to insist only that I provide a reservation number and otherwise seemed unwilling to be more helpful. We decided to work it out upon arrival at the front desk with hopefully someone more able and willing to help.
Unbeknownst to me until I arrived at the wrong Sandton Holiday Inn that my reservation was with the other. They told us that there is no way of cross referencing with the other place.
After 2 hours finally arrived at this place out next to the freeway in an office complex
Checked in and given a card key that of course required a return trip to the desk because it wouldn't open the door.
With the second key I made entrance on an occupant who was clearly settled in the room.
Desk staff took about 15 min to arrive and take me to another room with another card key that didn't work.
Staff person showed me the room which was dark and gloomy looking unlike room on the other side of building where another member of our party was lodged.
I was very graciously given a room on that side of building. Niceness! At that point I was willing to at least feel compensated for the hours it had taken to finally get settled with this gesture.
At 3am a ceiling pipe broke in the ceiling flooding two rooms of others in our party.
The air conditioning vent area looked grimy but otherwise the room was quite tidy and clean with a gorgeous verdant view onto a children's park across the street.
Wowyou can't win them all.

No nonsense hotel. Staff very competent and friendly. Not much to do a weekends but safe and secure on a business park.

A)The staff was friendly B) The atmosphere lively and bright C) The breakfast was fair. D) The deco good. However, the room was not clean. The carpet was dirty. There was hair in the basin. The spoon and cups where dirty. There was a roach of some sort that was huge that ran behind the headboard. The shower was really small. No obese people would b allowed to bath in there. So definitely needs upgrades.

Very friendly staff members. The breakfast is served from 6:30, and it is deliciously enjoyed with a nice view of waterfall city. There is no bar fridge in the room. The shower is spacious and the room is quite comfortable. The room service orders end at 9pm. They also offer basement parking free of charge.

Nice and big room. I enjoyed my stay. Friendly reception staff. The only thing I didn't like is that there's no room service they also need to change their restaurant. It serves old stale food.

The place is good to stay. I stayed for 5 days. Very clean and hygienic. Cordial staff. Breakfast excellent. Only problem, no room service, not a single bottle of water is supplied.

The receptionist lady was very rude,i wanted something to drink from the bar(heineken) she was like do you see any heineken there,as if i knew whats there and whats not,having to hold cold drinks with my hands no container nor tray while going to my room,otherwise its a good place,chilled

Nice and Neat, located in a business park so it's not ideal for a holiday. Food menu is also very limited, same buffet options everyday. Ideal for a few days working trip

I changed rooms 3 times, if there isn't something broken, then the room is dirty.
Breakfast was so cold had to ask them to warm up the food for me. I'm not going back there again.

Clean; comfortable. Friendly service.
Internet very very slow (even when changed rooms); TV will not work if it "is windy" (this is the reason - I was told) - that means most of the time; on site restaurant closed Friday to Sunday;

Value for money is very good, hospitality for all of the staff is very remarkable they will try to fulfill all of your requirements, room is very clean size is acceptable and the only issue the Internet coverage is not 100% strong in all of the rooms. overall experience is great would definitely go there again!
