The position of the hotel is central and convenient for visitors however , ridiculously no parking to collect your pax as the meter taxis parks all day in limited parking lots. The hotel is quite confusing with limited signage and staff to direct you to reception

An average hotel, nothing really bad to say about nor nothing good too. The 4 elevators in lobby are mess. Always at least one is broken, others let you waiting forever. The staff is polite, housekeeping been seen by me sitting inside someone’s room on sofa and relaxing instead doing chores (I swear to the God!). One day we lived without electricity in several hours due to maintenance, what was done in daytime.

The place is not well maintained. House keepers are very noise when preparing to clean the rooms they even make funny comments saying that we must wake-up because they also want to go home and enjoy Xmas with their families.

Dinning area is very nice and has friendly staff members. Please try to improve on your bakery ie. Bread and croissants they were forever stale. NO fresh fruits were provided during breakfast only fruitsalad.

I even inform my travel agent from Pentravel not to book such a hotel for her client's.
In short I didn't enjoy my stay.

Visited Fountains for a wedding. On arrival I asked if there was parking and and the person on duty at the garage abruptly said there was no parking. When I said that he could be polite and didn’t have to be rude, he response was, “This is the way I talk!” When asked his name, he covered his name tag. When I asked why he had covered his name tag, he said, “Because you’re going to report me.” I think his name is Cherubim. Disappointing, considering the staff at the venue were helpful and friendly.

In the heart of Cape Town, walking distance to the CTICC, Artscape, Green Market Square, the hop off hop on bus stop, parlement, Longstreet well basically it doesn't get more convenient than this. The Hotel boasts with a home made 'local is lekker' buffet, Conference facilities and the best part it's good value for money.

Fountain hotel is one of the three hotels owned and managed by leisure group hotels in cape town however there's been so much report of guests being robbed or stolen of their belongings such as money from the rooms in that hotels and that includes the strand tower hotel also. So I advise who ever will be booking at this two hotels should take more measures in safeguarding their things.

A walk away from all modes of public transport facilities and important sites in Cape Town such as parliament, easily accessible, free unlimited WiFi, they serve very good food and their staff are very friendly.
    Nice place to be

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building is a hotel for the most part but some rooms are privately owned and are available to rent through AirBnB. The view from the hotel is beautiful, the room we were in had a balcony, and the hotel is walking distance to several restaurants, shops, and Long street, which is one of the oldest streets in Cape Town.

On arrival, greeted by a porter who negatively engaged our taxi driver. Talk about abusive and disrespectful. Maybe I should have 'been' something else to the arrogant guy at the back. Anyway, all this in front of us, the new guests.

Enter the rooms: filthy. Carpets stained. Shower head off. Shower door rubbers mouldy. Windows unable to close and/or block wind and sound. NO POOL as advertised. It is not even ready as the website promises.

Prices of drinks are off the chart. No beer on tap and still charging 4 times what a 330ml beer costs.

Staff: insolent, unhappy and obviously in need of a place where yhey can share their pride of it with customers. They also require serious hospitality training, respect and manners.

Do not stay here. The room window was broken, and the sound bleeding in was horrific. The Cape Argus Tour was cancelled the morning we left, and so too I wish someone cancels this establishment in its current reality. Or: seriously overhaul this sad, dank, gloomy box.

    Breakfast.
The breakfast fruit bowl is pictured. I didn't want to scare you more by showing the breakfast buffet.

I would have given a zero star.
But that isn't a possibility on here.
