My wife and I had an amazing last night in Cape Town at this restaurant. Service was personable, great wine and delicious food. Definitely recommend this for anyone.

Wonderful balcony facing Long Street, cute blue mosaic tables, and great tapas! I had the lunch special (I forget what it was called). For R150 each person gets a starter, a five piece tapas dish, a glass of wine, and coffee. I especially loved the eggplant curry (2nd from the left in the photo).

Fantastic food! Tapas was top notch! Almost loosing one star for the dessert, but the total experience was so good that it gets 5!! Great service and shockingly cheap for the quality!

Dinner at Fork was brilliant. Each bite was a burst of flavour. The manager was always watching and very hands-on. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. A wonderful time was had by all.

Really nice place for something a bit 'different'
The location is great for anyone spending the day in town, just a two minute walk from Greenmarket square. They have tables on two floors, and a terrace with a few more overlooking Long Street. When the weather is good, it is a really nice spot to have lunch or dinner al fresco.
The food menu is varied and really appealing, consisting of dishes with individual bites that don't need a knife to be eaten (hence the name Fork). There are dishes suitable for both vegetarians and meat eaters, although not sure if they cater for vegans (they may do, I just don't know).
Depending of appetites, a minimum of two to 3 plates per person would be recommended, more for big eaters.
They also have some really nice looking cocktails in the menu, although I didn't have a chance to try any.
In terms of price, it is not the cheapest in town, but not expensive either considering the preparation necessary for each dish. Plates range from around 65 to 90 Rand each if memory serves me well, so think of 300 to 500 for two people + drinks.
Good place for a business meal or a special (but not overly fancy) occasion.response / report this review -

My wife and I had a late lunch here. The lunch special was a sampler of 4-5 items. Very small portions, but delicious. After finishing the sampler, we ordered a few more items. Great wine list. Good espresso drinks. Interesting people watching out the front windows (and in the restaurant too).

I love this restaurant. Best to come as a party of four or more because then you get to try more things. Highly recommend the beef fillet and the deep fried goats cheese. For dessert the flourless chocolate cake is a must have.

Cozy place with great tapas and local craft beer. Literally everything we had was delicious. They even had a separate nut free menu. A couple of the ladies had cocktails as well that they highly enjoyed and to top it off they have a small patio above the main road.

Great venue. Great ambiance. Fabulous food. But be warned, you'll have to FORK out if you want more than happy taste buds! If you're up for a real treat this is a superb choice. Waiting staff are exactly what you want and need. I'll be back for another round, soon

I didn't find it good value for money. The food was mediocre, the restaurant was so noisy conversation was difficult. We were a group of five, paid around 245rands each and home still hungry. I know it's tapas but for that much we could have eaten a decent steak with a good glass of wine somewhere else.

The food is simply to die for. Succulent, creative and absolutely exploding with flavour. If you have been to pinchos bars in Barcelona, expect the great flavour combinations without the insane battle for seating and space. A really civilised way to enjoy great food prepared with care and intelligence. Marvellous.

Great discovery on Long Street. Forks take on Tapas is great, different and interesting combinations (try the Fig Salad or maybe the Roast Pork Belly with a mustard and parsley crust) whatever you choose it's delicious and the staff have a passion about what they do.

Food is good. The atmosphere is hectic because the manager constantly tries to make space for new costumers.
Unfortunately after less than 5 minutes after we got the card for the dessert, one waiter wanted us to order immediately because they want the table to be ready for other costumers.
We really don't like this behavior and we left without having dessert, coffee and brandy.
In Europe we all ways try to avoid these kind of places and like to sit in a relaxing environment.
Hopefully there are restaurants in Cape Town with a less stress full atmosphere and have a one evening - one table policy.
But the quality of the food is very good and recommended.response / report this review
