The food used to be nice but not so anymore. It was more like a garages cafeteria than a Karoo Farm stall. I'm sorry we didn't go to De Oudemeul instead.

It is great for those young at heart wanting to get closer to nature and animals. The kids loved the fact that there was so many activities, many catering just for them. The animal rides gets them excited to be close to such creatures that are quite friendly.

The water slides might have you walk a distance, but it becomes worth it one you've taken your first slide. It might be one directional but loads of fun, aimed at children but adults will also enjoy the activity.

The prices are affordable and value for 💰 money.

So if you're in the Oudtshoorn area be sure to make a turn at Wilgewandel

Wonderful experience for kids and adults alike. I loved the camel ride, although it could have been just a few metres longer for the price and was over before it really started. Staff are all extremely friendly. Lovely shop and although we didn't eat, the food smelt and looked divine. Excellent outing for the day.

Lovely stop for the whole family when visiting all the sights in the area. The kids (ages 6 & 9) adored feeding the animals and obviously the camel rides where an experience that will always be remembered. Much more to be done when visited in the summer. Enjoy!

This place is an excellent break away for the whole family. There are camel rides, quad bike rides, farm animals to feed, great rooms and especially large family rooms. The atmosphere is very tranquil and the scenery amazing.

Good food, nice gift and convenience shop. The animals, including alpaca and camels are fun to observe. Service very kind and friendly. Kids and adults can enjoy lots of activities here.

Worth every penny. Friendly staff. The tour guides are well informed. A variety of delicious meals on sale. A must for a family trip especially the activities available for the whole family. Paddle skiing, camel rieds, zip slide, go carts. Ablution blocks clean and neat. Sufficient parking space.

Hidden among so many other resorts close to the Cango Caves, you find a treasure called Wilgewandel. Accommodation is offered in the historic old dairy where they used to milk cows. These have been converted into accommodation fit for couples as well as big families. When you stay here you receive 5 star treatment at 2 star prices.
Every meal we had was exceptional. From big, hearty farmhouse breakfasts to dinners that make you come back the next night for more, you won't find better.
There is so much to do and most activities are suitable for young and old alike. Everyone should ride a camel at least once in their lifetime; what an experience!
Every visitor is treated like a celebrity and the service is exceptional. If you are ever in the Oudtshoorn area, make sure to drop by Wilgewandel. I have put it on my yearly bucket list!

Great little shop, food is amazing, I had the ostrich gourmet burger.

How it works, cause it is self service: go into the shop, get your drinks and whatever else you want, order your food from the kitchen and go pay, here you can get tickets for the kids activities. Your food will be taken to your table based on your table number

They have go karts, trampolines, camel rides, donkey rides.

Oh you also got to check out the unusual alcohol you can buy here.

Probably one of the best family hotspots in South Africa. Also lovely for a little adventure with your significant other. Beautiful place with lots of fun activities to keep you busy, great food and drinks. Every year when I travel past this place I have to stop and just relax. You wont regret it.

Great value. Nice place to relax with family. Zipline, camel rides, boats, carts and loads more activities for kids, all at really affordable prices. Kids can entertain themselves while parents enjoy a nice drink. A definite must when in the oudtshoorn area.

A great place to stop off on your way to the caves. Good food at very reasonable prices. You order your food at the counter, pay for it, take a seat and when it is ready they serve you. No waiting for bills etc. Excellent system. If you want to stay longer there are some great activities for the kids.
