We had a lovely forest/grassland walk with many sightings of wild. Would definitely suggest this outdoors activity.

Small game reserve about 10kms outside empangeni. Wild buck, and other indigenous animals. River running through reserve has crocodiles. No big 5. Has many bird species, designated trail paths to follow. Picnic spots end route. Child friendly.

Great outdoor activity, route very well marked, don't attempt the hippo trail during summer as it is normally swampy and muddy next to the river. Prepare to get dirty and wet.

We walked the Nkonkoni Trail and saw the most game ever in this reserve. Zebra, Wildebeest, Reedbuck, Red Duiker and Vervet Monkeys. The birds were not as plentiful but I added a female Black Cuckooshrike to my list.
