I'd rather not say too much. It's a hidden jewel in the Drakensberg. If it becomes too popular it might stop being the incredible place it is. Don't go there. Don't visit. Leave it to me and my friends. Please :-)

Great spot. Save well marked walking trails. Beautiful Bushman rock art a short walk with a guided tour. Trout fishing. Beautiful sights of the amphitheatre in the Drakensberg mountains. Ribbon falls, Tugela waterfall, second highest waterfall in the world. Great staff and accommodation. Some snow during winter months May onwards.

We stayed in Thendele upper camp in the Royal Natal park. The park is beautiful and neat. Stunning view on the Amphitheatre, nice hiking trails directly from the camp. Baboons everywhere around the chalet :-) Chalet are basic and little bit old but evrything is there. Selcatering and there's nothing there like salt/peper,oil, you have to bring everything, go to the grocery store before!. Don'T forget to bring woods and fire starter because you'll have a fireplace in your camp. They sell wood at the camp entrance but make sure you arrived before it's closed, otherwise it will be cold on the camp.

Chalets are basic but more than adequate, lovely and cozy especially in winter with a fire going in the fireplace Perfect starting point for some great hiking trails and a little shop for the essentials on site. A definite repeat visit on the cards

My favourite place in the northern berg. Beautiful views. Even from your bed.Walks and hikes to suit the fit and not-so-fit. Beautiful position closer to the amphitheatre than any other. Self catering.

Beautiful camp with the most amazing scenery. The houses are not new but they are clean and tidy and that is important.
