Been going here for years. Love the Trinchado, but they have many excellent dishes. Decor is not great but who cares when eating good food.

I enjoyed my time at the Dias Tavern. The food was lovely, and the place super busy - yet the staff found the time to work with each table and to cater to everyone's needs. They even found the time to make jokes and make us all feel welcome. Special thanks to Fresh who wen out of his way to be helpful and extra friendly :)

Amazing place to visit. The overall experience was very satisfying. The food is amazing and you can order any drink which will be there at a drop of a hat. The staff is very friendly and you feel right at home. The place is packed and very busy which gives it such a nice vibe. The live entertainment is not qualified and could have ruined the experience if everyone was not so forgiving.

Though the decor is basic and not necessarily to my tastes, this place has an amazing vibe.

I went for a friends birthday party, it's not a place I would have chosen, but so glad we went. The food is very Portuguese, very tastyso much garliclove garlic ;)

There was a live band which sang some old favourites and some new hits, which all in all made for a great party.

    Will definitely go back.

After 4 days in Cape Town, only one so so meal, this was in our top experiences. The atmosphere, the staff, the local people and the food all come together for a great experience you will want to return to over and over again.

If you are expecting a Portuguese cafe/ bar with plastic chairs and vinyl tablecloths you won’t be disappointed. Atmosphere is festive.

I've been a customer for more than 10years and the food has never disappointed. Pub ambiance with generous potions. Try the espetada!
