Plenty space in the restaurant. Nice and friendly service. Good food at reasonable prices. Platters are especially decent. If you are a smoker, there is a good smoking section.

Had some breakfast with the family on Saturday morningour first time there, and it was really enjoyable. It was quite noisy but that was due to the fact that they hosted two kitchen teas and an 80th birthday tea. Cappuccinos were ice cold unfortunately, and was just reheated instead of replaced, which most restaurants would redo rather than popping them in the microwavefor that reason I am not giving a full rating. The breakfast was good, nice portions on the omelettes and french toast. Nice view of Table Mountain if you sit at the right spot. Also has a “Boardroom” separate which comes in handy when wanting to have a meeting outside your own offices. Very friendly staff, even though they were running around like crazyenjoyable experience!

1 star rating is a compliment. Service great food bad. Ordered 2 x Eisbein for the table. R 155 each. Both arrived looking really good till we cut into it and it was frozen. Spoke to the chef and he confirmed that this food is cooked and frozen and re-prepared for service.
This is a restaurant, not a convenience store. If I wanted reheated food I could buy this frozen and reheat myself. The manager did not understand the heath-risk saying but it is smoked before cooking. Sure, but smoking don't address the bacteria introduced by handing during and after the freezing process.

Serious disappointment, how can I ever go back there again being conned and my health being disregarded in such a way.
I give them an 'Avoid for health risk sake' rating.

Love this place mostly for the atmosphere and really friendly staff. Their milkshakes are delish, plus my husband usually loves their breakfast options plus enjoys their pizza. The salads are wonderful and not your standard salads, I would ask for a salad option that doesn't have something sweet in it plus some more vegetarian options would be awesome.

Very good meals and different coffees and tea. They have private conference room , outside area and their own restroom. They have a good selection of wines as well. The waiters waitress are very good.

Very nice venue with great views and a nice variety of food and drink. Friendly service and offers a boardroom for company or group meetings. Has a nice visible woodfired pizza oven as well. Main attraction would be Table Mountain and the suburbs and ocean view.

Had quite a large party and the waitrons did really well at fielding all the requests. We had our 1 year old along with us but we were told they don't have kids chairs I don't even know how to respond to this

.we decided on the spur of the moment to do some cake or desserts out and the first pl;ace that came to mind was Cafe Chameleon and yes they were about to accommodate us! To our surprise for a Thursday night this venue was buzzing, full to capacit-ii so it means that this place is very popular! We were made comfortable by our waitress Alexis who was very charming, polite and pleasant! We just came for cakes and cappuccinos and the cake selection was to die for, decadent chocolate cake, two kinds of baked cheese-cake, bar-one cheese-cake, carrot-cake with cheese-cake topping and a love-lii lemon mar-rang.wow how difficult to make a choice! But we made our choices for now only to keep in mind that we will be back again soon in the future! This venue has amazing views at night the mountain in the south-west and the whole of Cape Town's lights shining beautiful-ii making for pleasant viewing and picturesque sights! The decor is stylish in its own way! They have seating inside and outside a pity its still winter here in Cape Town as a balcony seat would have been quite romantic!..This place is a must visit when in the area if you are able to be accommodated!..

Unfortunately I have to change my good review of this place. Went there 3 times after my great experience and the service (not waitress) and food is deteriorated. The food was disgusting. I ordered a steak and received a piece of old frozen steak, what's makes it worse the chef didn't defrost it fully so it was frozen inside. I asked my waitress (who btw- gave excellent service) to inform the chef of this and not only did she do that but she took the steak with herthe chef/owner/manager did not even try to apologize or for that matter acknowledge what has happened as we decided to leave. Had to ask for cutlery and clean napkins I hate giving bad reviews but this place has really gone down and I definitely don't recommend it. I would give the food -10!!!

I had a lovely experience at Cafe Chameleon recently. The restaurant has a beautiful view and has quite a peaceful atmosphere. The food is delicious and the prices are very affordable for their reasonable large portions. I had a great time, and recommend this restaurant to all!

Kind of what you expect from a mall cafe. Nothing brilliant but nothing awful. Cheerful, efficient service. Clean. Well priced. Good for informal biz meetings.

Food is good and staff are friendly. They still put margarine on their hamburger rolls which I find strange. Still recommended.
