The setting is beautiful. Over the years, 5 to be exact the service level has dropped. Once you get your food it is deliscious. Athough over the years, like most places in Cape Town with a view, the prices are above averagely high. Nonetheless if you are a visitor especially from Overseas with our poor exchange rate it is well worth the visit and you won't feel the financial pinch. If you are a South African it is such a treat to go there if only once! I prefer to return more regular.. The best value for money is the coffee plunger and blueberry and raspberry muffins served with a choice of 2 of their lovely jams ( which can be purchased there). They are baked fresh - for that is well worth the wait and a promise of return.

Fantastic view! If it is your first time visiting, definitely order a scone with a selection of preserves.

No smoking area, only outside of premises.

Pretty much the most amazing view of any restaurant in South Africa. Do yourself a favour and sit outside. The mountains add a feeling of serenity you won't find anywhere else. Awesome selection of coffee.. (you can get a full sized plunger of African blend filter.. Just when you think it can't get any better, behold the Devonshire scones. These are honestly the best scones I've ever had in my life. I've been here more than once and I've also had the chicken burger which was great as well. My only criticism of Hillcrest berries is that the service can be slow, but I'm definitely willing to forgive that :-)

Lovely quaint shop and restaurant. The shop sells preserves, jams and frozen berries, amongst other things. The restaurant serves mostly light meals and drinks. If you prefer a more quiet setting with outside space, this is likely the place for you. If you are a berry enthusiast or just appreciate good cheesecake, this is definitely the place for you!

The views are truly breathtaking. The views out shadow the average food and bad service. You can also buy berries and farm style produce here, which does sweeten the lack of service ethic. My advice - try the other places up the road, that have better service with a similar view.

Went for an early Saturday morning cycle amd came there when they were actually still close. We arrived there at 8:00 and they only open at 8:30.we asked if we can maybe get coffe so long. The response we got was "Please come in, we are more than willing to help and serve you". We even got freshly baked scones.

Amazing service, amazing coffee, amazing food, friendliest people, amazing jam, amazing view, and an amazing place.

If you drive pass Hillcrest Berry Farm, it is a must to stop there, even just for a scone.

An old favourite. Most wonderful place. Good food. Stunning view on the mountains. Best scones in town. Buy their jams in all sizes or gift packs, fresh frozen berries, infused vinegars and oils. Good service. Choose to sit inside or outside. Well priced menu.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat, whether it's for tea and scones or a lunch. Sit outside on the patio when the weather is good or stay cozy inside near the wood stove in winter. Service can be a little slow at times so be prepared to wait for your food, but spend some time browsing through huge selection of berry products for sale.

We've been here many times and always enjoy it. Their scones and jam are the BEST, and it comes with gorgeous views.

My wife's favourite place to visit when in the area. Cafe has a stunning view over the valley. Would recommend the scones with homemade jam

There was no electricity, but your staff made sure we could be served with what was available. Once again the best scones and cream.
    Thank you.

The views are exceptional and the scones are very nice indeed. (You can pick from umpteen different flavours which I think are all produced on the farm itself.) The service was a little slow when we were there at breakfast.

Well worth the visit! We loved the tranquil tea garden setting with the majestic mountains in the background. The staff still need a bit of training regarding good customer service. We waited a long time to pay at the till (person was on his mobile phone) Other than that the food was beautifully presented and so delicious. I loved all the goodies that we could purchase in the shop to take home to New Zealand. Thank you Hillcrest Berries!
