It could have earned an extra star if it had a kiddies menu but unfortunately it is not very child friendly. The food is very good though and the service was excellent although my watron was very monotone. The lack of personality did not diminish the quality of the dining experience. The venue is ideal for couples or older diners - not kids. In terms of price, its is fairly expensive. I visited with my wife and 2 kids and spent R790 even though my youngest didn't eat and we didnt have dessert. This is the reason it lost the second star. Aside from this, an all round good experience.

Even the slightly long wait for the mains did not dampen my experience. Perfectly grilled top quality steaks, well worth the wait. Thinking about it now is making my mouth water. Their selection of craft beer is 💯. #thelocobrew approves. Excellent service by a gentleman named Prosper. I left with the biggest smile on my face.

The best steak I've ever had, and I've had steaks at Michelin starred restaurants! I chose the 300g fillet with a Béarnaise sauce and a side of baby new potatoes. The sauce went onto the potatoes as the steak needed no additions, it literally melted in the mouth! For dessert I chose the Malva pudding, which was also wonderful. The service from our waitress was top notch, the ambience of our booth added to a most enjoyable evening.

I would previously have rated 5 when this was my favourite steak house up to 2016. Unfortunately the past 3 meals was subpar quality steaks and I won't be returning. Consider changing your supplier back to what it used to be.

This was really an unforgettable experience. I at first thkught is was goong to be a normal night out but I was pleasantly surprised and delighted. The reception was great, the service was good, the ambiance is fantastic and the food top notch and to top it all you can take your own wine with without a corkage fee. I luvit and will definitely make this a monthly visit.

The food in general is good with good service and friendly staff. The presentation of the food is deservingly. The side dish was a confused display of nothing. The main course dish is tasteful but a bit chewy for what I was expecting.

A must visit. Amazing atmosphere. Must try Fillet steak on the bone prepared in "Holland's" way. Melts like butter in your mouth! What a great eating experience.

Best steak I have ever had. I had the 200g Madagasca pepper fillet. For dessert I had the orange dark chocolate mousse. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere

Quiet afternoon we waited more than 30 minutes to get served our drinks. Had to ask the hostess to find our waiter. Then service didn't improve at all after that

I gave my partner a choice of any place he wants to go to. As I suspect it he chose Hussar Grill because it is one of his favourite places to go for ribs. We were luckily enough to be in time for the lunch menu. We had best of both. Calamari that was tender and full of flavour, ribs that was cooked to perfection and let's not forget the crispy chips with their fluffy centre.

I finally had the excuse to visit this place recently. And I do regret putting it off for so long!!
They do fine dining really good!!! The steaks are soft and juicy, the best selection of wines, and fantastic service by the staff. The attention to detail shows.
A must visit!

Had the opportunity to enjoy a steak dinner here for my birthday.

Setting: Great atmosphere and good service rating.

Food: Good sized portions and prepared perfectly to expectations

Excellent service, great menu and speedy delivery. Very accommodating of our needs. Even replaced a main after having spilled almost the entire contents of the salt mill on it with no comment other than to make us feel comfortable by saying simply: "it happens". The restaurant called to confirm my booking so I didn't have to. There is a lot to be said for a restaurant with over 50 years of experience. It shows.
