Wow! What a relaxed, wonderful getaway my husband and I had. We celebrated our second year anniversary at Kol Kol Mountain Lodge. It was our first experience of not checking in at a reception, but that's one of the things we loved about this unique establishment. We did not want for anything, anything that we could need (and more) was there at our disposal. And the extras that made us feel even more special, the chocolates, the real butter, the water, milk and the complementary bubbly to celebrate our anniversary in the fridge was the icing on top of the cake (amongst the other delights.). We love making fires and braaiing, the wood we were supplied with was plentiful and the warm fire seemed inviting for a large spotted genet who welcomed the warm outside fire. The hot tub is wonderful and has an awesome view of our scenic surroundings. Kol Kol is a real treasure, it was most certainly worth the wait and we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks alot for the effort and love put into our stay.

Wow this place is amazing. Just stunning views, wonderful accommodation, totally secluded. The lack of WiFi and choppy cellphone reception adds to the flair!

A short hour-and-half out of Cape Town, is just close enough to be reachable on a Friday afternoon, but far enough to be a world away from the city. And once we settled in, Kolkol Mountain Lodge could just as well be on another planet. It has power and cellphone reception - and those we count as the negatives. After that this place is just blissful. The wood-fired hot tub is something special, and then there is the view, the hiking trail, the wild-cat spoor in the sand and the fynbos. This is a special place.

Brilliant! Would love to go again. Personalized greeting when you enter the premises and you never see anyone else after. You think that the lodge you in is the only one. Music can be played as loud as possible. Very relaxing.
