Excellent Indian food. All freshly prepared. Curries, dosas and tandoori are all excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is our go to Indian restaurant in Cape Town. We also love the location in central Cape Town.

Food was definitely not what we were use to. It was bland and definitely not worth the price tag. From a group of 4, whoever ate the Tandoori Chicken and Tandoori Prawns now got to put up with gastrointestinal problems. Food safety may need questioning. Open food was evident in the kitchen.
Most definitely my last stop to this establishment. I’ve rated it 1 star to upload this review. Wish I could have rated it with NO stars because that’s really my impression of this place.

One of the best culinary experiences I've ever had. Food was spectacular and the service and hospitality was perfect. If you enjoy rich hearty meals then Bukhara is definitely a place for you.

Service isn't amazing, especially considering lunchtimes are quiet, but really good, authentic Indian curries.

I didn't visit Bukhara restaurant. I went to the pharmacy below the restaurant but it appears close enough that Google and the restaurant owners feel that they can send me an unwarranted, intrusive push notification asking me to rate the restaurant.

Proximity to a place does not automatically imply consent to publicly endorse the venue.

This is a prime example of poor AI and unwarranted endorsement requests.

    FAIL!

Food was mostly bland but what was most shocking was that there was insensitive use of holy symbols and statues at the toilet entrance that we found to be most offensive as its primary use is at temple entrances in Indian temples. It clearly demonstrates a lack of sensitivity on the owners part as the owners (it seems) did not research its use and valued an 'authentic feel' rather than authenticity.

The food was simply delicious! The portions are pretty big too, definitely worth it! Though I wish the quality of the service would have matched the quality of our meals.

Fabulous flavours. Craving the AUTHENTIC flavours of India? Ambience is great, two kitchens conjure up magic for your mouth. Our waiter was informative, friendly and efficient.

Very bad personal experience at Bukhara restaurant, water front, Cape Town 2/4/17. Shahi Paneer had chicken in it. Vegetarians during Navratri had to bear that n the manager was very casual saying it was human error. I think vegetarians n strict Hindus / Jain going to this restaurant in CT should be very cautious.

The food is great, and so is the ambience but they can struggle with service. Be prepared to wait for your food. Also pay attention that they have 2 different kitchens. This isn't necessarily obvious when you get the menu. The nuance there is that you have to understand there is one kitchen for starters and another for main meals but the menu doesn't tell you that.
