I spent some time living in Strand and I blew so much of my pay check here with friends, never had a bad meal! Anything you order will be great and so will the portions. We came and played cards here while we ate, great experience! The staff was never unfriendly and the the prices were reasonable.

If you want to meet your girlfriend's parents, have a fun night with friends, just some laughs with over drinks or a classy night with good food - look no further.

Okay I put 3 stars because the place is nice and the servers are nice, HOWEVER I am craving for my sushi that I order 60 huge minutes ago now ! And it’s not even busy, it looks like they are fishing the fish for the sushi or ordering it from another sushi place ?!?

The past weekend would probably be the third time I've visited Casa del Sol and not once were they a let down. Here cocktails are always a 'must try'. However, my review was sparked by the amazing Hake and chips my friends and I enjoyed this weekend. It was superb in every way. Way better than some of the best places I've had Hake in the Cape Town area. Not only was it fresh but also decent in portion size - imagine your favorite restaurant Hake and chips and multiply that size by two! I had left-overs for the next day. It was truly a pleasure to visit this place again. Thumbs up from me. Try it for yourself.

Went during December holidays and despite not having a booking, they put together a table for the 6 of us. Had one of the best Mojitos there. Food was generous, well priced and delicious. View is amazing too. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Fantastic food and good value for money. Their sushi is great and the chocolate brownie and chocolate fondant is superb. Perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful sunset over False bay

This place has an amazing view and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The food is amazing and the service even more!!* I just need to appraise the waiter the served us, Marcel, she was sooo friendly and helpful and had knowledge about every inch of the restaurant from food to drinks!** Thank you so much Marcel for making us fall in love with Casa del Sol!! Expected more from a restaurant like this. At first we placed our order, after a while the waiter came back and informed us that the kitchen does not have stock of the menu item. Then we had to order something else from memory since the waiter did not bring some menu's along to have a look at.

I asked for my steak to be medium to rare but once I received it it was closer to medium to well done. The meat was tough and chewy.

The drinks menu had very limited options in terms of good beer.

Rather look for something else in the are that has better service and better food.

My wife & I visited Casa Del Sol yesterday & will definitely be our last. We waited close to an hour for our food and when the sushi arrived the rice was hard and dry! Like its been standing out a while. Terrible!

I advised the waiter I'd like to use an Entertainer voucher. Worse mistake ever, because the cocktails I got was obviously diluted because they now knew that one will be free.

Waiter would ask the white couple next to us if everything is fine but won't ask us that's non-white and sitting right next to them!

Will never come back to this place again! Pathetic!

Another similar situation regarding the unwelcoming attitude was raised by a reviewer on 04/01/17 but obviously nothings has changed.

Lunch place, not dinner place, cheap and cheerful, no need to dress up.

Cocktails were lovely, very cheap (R/£). Food was average. Sirloin comes slathered in unexpected sauce, burgers were ok.

Sushi platter was good between 3!

Great experience and friendly staff. Great view, food average and a wide variety of drinks and cocktails with a fully stocked bar. Smoking area outside, and toilets 🚻 neat with a key tag system in place. Service is pretty decent and for me the fish and chips portion is enough for two people. Enjoyed the sushi 🍣 Some of the couches need dry cleaning though some was in a terrible state. Make sure to try out the cocktail menu.
