Wonderful to go for a day and experience the farm. One can pick fruit from the trees and also relax at the restaurants. It does get quite hot during the summer but a great place to spend some time

Magnificent multi-faceted farm. A feast for the eyes and senses and an absolute must for anyone who has ever attempted to garden. Gorgeous farm to table restaurants. Kid friendly.

A wonderful experience with inspiration for one's own garden ! Many photographic opportunities of trees, flowers, vegetables and Cape-Dutch structures. Informative, relaxing and a great family outing. Food and beverages unfortunately very expensive

Absolutely picturesque farm with such incredible views! The wines on offer are not only affordable but such a pleasure to drink! The platters are beautifully presented and full of different elements from vegetables to cheeses to pâté. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about most of what goes on, on the farm. Didn’t try the restaurant, but whether you just go for a wine tasting or go for a meal, it’s a definite ‘must try’.

Visited here for the garden tour followed by lunch in the greenhouse and a trip to the butchers. Loved every minute, hope to stay for our next visit!

Cape Dutch Wine Estate with 2 restaurants, shop, garden, Hotel and wine tasting. The Greenhouse restaurant serves coffees and scones. The clivias are probably at their best in September.

A recent visit this week October 2017 during the flowering of the thousands of clivia in the incredible gardens. They get more and more gorgeous with each visit. Whatever the season a visit to the Babylonstoren gardens is a magical treat. And a celebration meal at Babel delicious.

I have been to quite a few wine estates in South Africa and this is one of the best. The layout makes it easy to get around and at the right time of year you will find trees laden with fruit. There is also a large 'veggie' patch and much of the produce is heritage. My last visit was for a tea and tisane workshop which started with attendees wondering around the garden and picking herbs and fruit for the teas. Lunch and all refreshments were exceptional and taken in the outdoor restaurant. When not taking workshops it worth popping into the shop which sell cordials, jams and produce from the farm. If you are in Cape Town and want to visit the winelands, you would be disappointed if you visit Babylonstoren.

Exquisitly laid out organic gardens in Moorish style. Waterblommetjie ponds. Large variety of fruit trees, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Walled gardens with bee hives, mulberries, ducks and chickens. Sit in big wicker nests. Amble through the Clivia walk. Visit the lovely shop for gifts and bread. Relax in the Greenhouse and enjoy the beautifully presented meal. For a memorable, gourmet treat, book well in advance for the restaurant.

Absolutely wonderful! Spent the day in the garden and enjoyed some delicious malva pudding at the greenhouse restaurant! Nothing better than walking through the wonderful gardens while picking and eating strawberries while you go! The gardens are a must see!

This is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The gardens are absolutely incredible with such an amazing variety. The wine tour and wines are incredible and a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this place for the whole family and if there was a six star rating I would give it - it's in a class of it's own.

Stunning setting, beautiful gardens. Definitely worthwhile making the visit.

Babel is a great restaurant, with the quality of produce matching the service.

Note starters are enormous! Probably too big, order 1 between 2.

Absolutely amazing and completely worth the drive out. The scenery is breath-taking and the place is just impeccable. The service was absolutely delightful. You can walk under the shade of the trees or sit down at the little restaurant. It isn't too crowded and is perfect for the whole family
