First of all I don't understand why this hotel is even regarded as a 4-star hotel. It is very poor in terms of accommodating large groups. They lye to their customers through the booking process, promising heaven although the reality is the exact opposite. We were a group of 72 when we checked in into this hotelthey packed us like cabbages, while on our arrangements they promised us that there will be 6 single bed per domethey packed 12 beds per dome. Showers are releasing cold water, some of the rooms were dirty with used condoms under the bed. The worse part when one is raising a concern the management do not in anyway indicating to care
They take an advantage that once you paid and arrived you won't change.
    It is very bad!!!

Great clean hostel with friendly staff. Just far enough away from the action to be sensible. It is NOT a party hostel. Good well equipped kitchen. Excellent wifi with computer access for downloading cameras. It has a small bar. Towels are provided. Most attractions walkable and near to bus stops for travel around the city

The lobby of this backpacker's oversells it by a lot. The dormitories are small and noisy and the layout is not thoughtful in general. On many occasions, the kitchen and hallways are full of dirty laundry waiting to be washed. They could make this place great if they put some thought into it.

I spent a week at Forty8 in August 2916 with a group of 15 university students while attending the 35th International Geological Congress at the Cape Town International Conference Center. I had small room with a double bed to myself, while the students stayed in dormitories. The hotel is ideally situated: an easy 15 minute walk from the CTICC, around the corner from the restaurants and clubs in Long Street, and a short drive to Table Mountain, the Waterfront and Sea Point. Off street and overnight parking is available in nearby parking garage at a reasonable rate. The lounge, kitchen, rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. I found my room to be quiet at night. There is free WiFi in the lounge. The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular the host, LJ. All in all, a cost-effective and convenient option.
