I just wanted to give some feedback on our stay. We got married Friday night and we're very much looking forward to spending our newlywed night here as we were told it's the nicest hotel in the area. We were greeted with "Do you have a reservation?" From across the lobby immediately as we walked in the door. Then were asked if we were going out and told the doors were already locked in an extremely rude tone. Then when we came back in after celebrating with our friends we were approached by the front desk girl after barely even making it in the door and asked "You didn't bring anyone in with you did you?" In a very accusatory tone. They were also incredibly rude to another guest waiting for his father to come let him into his room and told "he couldn't sit in their lobby all night" really? It was a blizzard outside and you're going to throw the kid out because his dad won't answer the phone? Then upon checkout we had to wait for the girl at the front desk to get off her cell phone taking a personal call. Overall a poor experience. I expected much better hospitality from such a highly rated hotel especially on such an important night for us. Won't be staying again.

hotelVetro was a much better experience than the Reviews would indicate. Nice large, clean rooms with large windows and functionally and aesthetically designed. Though the views over the lower rooftops with AC units was not appealing, there was an aperture NW to the Ped Mall. It was much more accommodating than the 4+ Star vacation rental we stayed in for 3 days just prior. We'll plan to stay there again. The location including the fantastic Bread Garden restaurant and small grocer below was outstanding! Bernie

This is an awesome hotel. I worked here as an engineer for almost 2 years. This hotel is designed very well and is very appealing. I will always miss this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very accommodating. My only complaint was the WiFi- it was spotty in the room and non-existent on the balcony. That shouldn't be an issue in a hotel this expensive.

I'm pretty ambivalent about hotelVetro. We had a corner king suite and it was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. But, we requested an additional hour for check-out (noon) so we could go to brunch. We left the do not disturb sign on the door. When we returned at 11:30 (30 mins after normal check out), housekeeping had cleared everything from our room. Apparently, "found" items were not stored in a single location. They kept telling us we had everything but finding more things when pressed so we're still not sure we have everything. They comped our parking, but I'm not sure that makes up for the vague feeling that we're still missing things.

Not worth the price! We stayed in a suite for our wedding night. The air conditioning was noisy to the point you can't hear the television, and there was plenty of street noise along with it. The balcony would have been more appealing if it weren't so close to street level. The bedding was covered in several long black hairs that didn't belong to us. if you want relaxing and romantic go somewhere else!

This hotel is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. We walk in and there isn't hardly anyone around, it looks like an office building. The hotel clerk talked so fast and she didn't give you a chance to ask questions. The gym is not private to the hotel the public can use which is a HUGE turn off for me. Since they are privately owned they share EVERYTHING with the Sheraton. Someone tell me why no hotels have outdoor pools anymore, that's all I wanted to do but they have an indoor pool, shared with the Sheraton and trust me that pool is not big enough for TWO hotels together. On the website they had these beautiful pictures of balconies and open terraces you can sit on. So that's what I was expecting, no the terrace is just a concrete space that has three very rundown tables, it looks like they weren't kept up at all. They front desk lady said that the gym was on the third floor so we went to go check it out. You had to go the third floor to this hallway and you went into another room to go out onto the terrace and then you walked through this very small hallway and then down stair to the most cramped and small gym you'll ever find. I could not work out in there. Walking to our room some pictures were taken off the walls looking like the hotel had been robbed. Finally the room doesn't even have carpet, it's concrete for the floors and all they have is a rug under the beds. They tv is not facing the beds it is facing the kitchen. Who needs a dishwasher in a hotel room?? The outlets are in the most inconvenient spots and there are barely any near the beds. There was one behind the bed but I had to pull the bed out to get to it. That is unnecessary. Outside of the gym there was another terrace but it was not kept up at all, the chair looked very weathered and randomly thrown places outside it did not look nice. The entire thine I was there I only saw about 2 or 3 workers. So I can't say the staff was friend either. The website was very deceiving and doesn't have up to date pictures but they should maintain there hotel to keep business up. The bathroom door is also very annoying, it is just a sliding Glassdoor that does lock, isn't soundproof and is translucent so light can pass through it. Early in the morning other people can get up and wake you up by turning on a light or worse you can hear them peeing or taking a shower. Good things: bathrooms nice and bed clean and comfy. But it is definitely not worth any money to stay here so don't. I did not enjoy my experience here.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms feel like being in a loft. Interesting modern features that could be awesome but things like bathroom sliding doors that dont lock and really loud and hard to open glass shower doors diminish the experience.

It's lovely and with a modern feel. There is a separate bathtub and shower, and the water pressure is fantastic! The staff is lovely, the view is also gorgeous.

An island of modern style and class in an otherwise college oriented downtown. Nice beds and linens, and very clean presentation. Modern flair in the lobby, but comfortable at the same time. Would return in a heartbeat.

The good:

Room looks great. Plenty of space, great bed, awesome tub, kitchenette, and view. Quite impressive at first glance. Rates are reasonable. Endless dining options within walking distance. Retro styling.

The bad:

Outrageous parking ($14/night). No vending machines (no water for workout room). Tub faucets leaked water on the floor. Could use a little maintenance to help with the aging appearance.

Really cute and contemporary but getting a little dingy already. Our last stay, about a month ago, had a stained duvet cover, broken toilet seat and what looked like mold in the shower. That said, it is really conveniently located, has a full sized fridge and kitchen and is generally fairly quiet. I will also say that the bathroom is not super private and while they are dog friendly, the cost for a dog is fairly steep. Seems like our dog was cleaner than our room this time!
