clean and friendly. The pool was great. The hot tub was hot! But the pool was comfortably warm.
Amazing experience. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very polite and accommodating. The only thing I would change is the parking. Parking lot is quite a distance from the door. Other than that the experience was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, pool and hot tub were fun and relaxing and the beds were very comfortable. There was some construction going in with the current renovations but it didn't disturb us one bit. We will definitely continue choosing Hampton inn as our hotel from now on. Especially if we ever go back to Coralville!!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!!
Decent hotel. I like the convenience of the restaurant right next door, but this place showed more wear & tear than most Hampton Inns.
Much nicer than I was expecting. I haven't always had great luck with Hampton Inn. They had a nice pool area. Room was pretty decent size and clean. Only thing I did not like was the "hot" breakfast. I know you can't ask for a lot when it's free, but it was not appetizing at all. I also wish they offered larger coffee cups to go.
Convenient access, conventional furnishings, exceptionally comfortable beds and bedding. No mini fridge in our room. Children reported the pool temperature was warmer than they preferred. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was fresh and varied.
Hotel is dated as far as carpeting and walls in hallways to the rooms. But room was clean and mattress was good. Had very good complimentary breakfast.
The hotel was dated, and our first room was dirty, dingy, and damp. The carpet was sticky and dirty. They happily moved our room which was better but just as dated, with the same sticky carpet. Erica was always quick to help and her customer service was impeccable.
The hotel was awesome. Excellent desk staff, and room. Had hot water and good ac. Also many freebies in the room, like makeup remover. Mini fridge and microwave in the room and the bed was very comfortable.
Good location right at 1st Street and I80. Was able to check in early, front desk person was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Didn't ever have to wait very long for the elevator. Renovations going on, but didn't impact the stay at all. The restaurant connected to the hotel has a very good selection of Iowa craft beers. Make sure to hit the happy hour from 4-6 for half price tap beers. Breakfast included all the regulars for a buffet breakfast. Waffles, eggs, potatoes, good coffee.
Awesome staff who are willing to work with you even when they're booked full. Pool and hot tub are small, but nice for relaxing. Love that free Continental breakfast.
We only stayed one night, but we found the room and hotel in general to be quite clean and to feel inviting. Hotel staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, and the hotel gave the general impression of being under good, caring management. Another perk for road-trippers was that it was located right off the highway.
Erika checked us in and she was super friendly, welcoming, professional, and informative! Loved that! The room was pretty good. It would have been great if there was a small fridge or cooler and if place to hang a towels in the bathroom (above the toilet) was a shelf/bar style arrangement. The hooks were just small. Breakfast was also great! There would suggest leaving your omelet option meat free to include all diet types. I watched a guy go up thinking it was a veggie omelet (supported by the fact that there was bacon available as a meat option right next to it) and have to walk away because it was ham and veggies and he couldn't eat pork. I loved my breakfast though. Super yummy and the mustaches/mouths on the cups were a fun, playful surprise.
My Son goes to this hotel every year for an annual swim meet. He loves the rooms at this hotel This year he left his glasses in the room. The Front Office Manager Korey Kriz was super kind and helpful. He texted me a picture of the glasses to verify they were his and he sent them to us immediately.
Rooms were gross - strong smell of mildew inside. Meeting room was adequate, however. And the lunch served at our meetings was excellent. Still, I wouldn't want to sleep here again.
My husband and his brother stayed here October 26, 2016. They had to be up very early the next morning because Steve had to be at the University of Iowa Hospitals at 5:30AM to be prepped for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery for his Parkinson’s Disease. Imagine their surprise when they woke up to find bedbugs in their pillowcase. It was stressful enough for my husband to be having surgery but now he has to worry about bed bugs. He is not allowed to shower until Saturday because of an incision in his head and chest. As soon as they arrived home we were bagging clothes to launder in case any bed bugs came home with them. His brother is worried about taking bedbugs to his home also. Steve is 70 years old and has a long road to recovery and the last thing we need to worry about are bed bugs. I have been staying at Hampton Inns for many years but not anymore. I cannot express how upsetting this is.
Upon check-out at 4:30 am, Steve and Mike told the hotel desk clerk about the bed bugs, and actually took some to him in a paper coffee cup. As a result, there was no charge for the room and it is on record at the hotel about the bed bugs there.
The service is amazing. I am truly impressed with how accommodating the entire staff is. The room are very well kept, and comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone. The free coffee every morning in the lobby 24/7 is always a plus, too!
I stayed here for several days since a family member was in the hospital. The staff was great, the room was comfy. The beds were wonderful!! It was easy access to the hospital and restaurants. The restaurant adjoining the hotel was also excellent. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
