Love coming here every year! They have a nice long trail that runs along the Clinton River. Prices are normal for a seasonal business. They have farm animals there for kids. They also sell odds and ends in a few tents.. there is a park across the street witch is nice. The only think that I don't like and I don't think they have much control over it are the bees they are all over the place. Although now that I think about it their trash bins we're overflowing witch is where most of the bees where They could improve on that
Yates is the best cider mill I have visited. They have two kinds of donuts (the sugar coated are obviously the best) and delicious cider. After indulging, you can go feed the goats or give your kids a ride on a pony. Family walks up the trail by the stream are a must!
Love this place! My mom took me here when I was a kid & get excited to visit here when I’m in town. They have a nice & easy trail that loops around that goes along the river. Hot cider, caramels & chocolate fudge is the best! I wanted to buy one of their large thermoses as a souvenir but they were pricey & wouldn’t give me complimentary cider in it with my purchase so I didn’t buy it.
One of the best cider mills around.
Very good variety of food: awesome cinnamon sugar doughnuts (very soft and warm). My favorite is the cherry pocket pies. Also sells fudge, honey, candied apples, and other local products.
beautiful location: right on the river, nice walking path, and the mill itself is quite picturesque.
Fun activities: they have the animals, pumpkins, and a variety of other things to do.
Cons: hard to pull into (busy traffic area) and it is typically very busy.
Been going to this cider mill for many years. The grounds are pet friendly but NOT inside the buildings as per health codes. Bring your own items for smaller children as there are no rentals. A bit on the pricey side though in my opinion well worth the cost.
Wonderful place. Ive been going there for over 35 years. We made it a family tradition for the last 25 yrs while taking my 3 children there. It was always a memorable place to enjoy. Donuts are great, we rate the cider a close tie for 2nd out of 9 Mills visited so far. (Tied with Millers Big Red) however, donuts are great warm. Not so much the day after. Long lines are at times worth it, more so if you bring the kids. Molasses cookie, 2 thumbs up! Apple butter, again, 2 thumbs up. The fudge, I prefer the Rocky Road, Pistachio, and Double Chocolate Fudge try the pie, its not bad
Yates Apples Apple Cider Mill is one of the best apple cider mills I've ever been to. The apples that they use are pristine and of spectacular quality. They also serve donut pastries which are a delicious addition to the apple family. If you don't like bees, then beware, as the apple cider mill is made structurally of mostly wood which as you may know is the ideal living place for some bees. There are bees present near the mill, but they are not a distraction from the main attraction.
Probably the best donuts around. I love the animal feeding area. My daughter loves it too. They always have events in the fall, and if u don't want sweets, there is always the buttered corn on the cob outside! Food trucks, fresh apples, and pumpkins of course. I love walking around the river across the street. Cool place to walk around too.
Best donuts I've ever tasted in my life. There's nothing like the buttery plain donut, so soft and still warm from being freshly made. Pair that with a cup of ice cold cider and I do believe I've died and gone to heaven. The staff here are friendly and the river is so nice to walk by.
LOVE,LOVE,LOVE , YATES CIDER MILL. I'm so glad they took over the park across the street. Great local place to get outside and enjoy "nature" and relax. Their amazing cider is just a bonus .ö.
Delicious and amazing cider , pie, and cinnamon donuts. The trails are wonderful to walk in the fall while sipping cider.
The BEST donuts. Great cider. Delicious turnovers. No pricier than any other cider mill. The only problem I ever have here is with other customers who let there kids run around like wild animals, but I can't hold that against the establishment. During peak season you have to go in the early morning or the line is terrible. I won't wait in the line, but I will get up a couple hours early to beat it.
Parking is horrible. While not fault of property. Makes it a bummer. Too crowded. All the new folks trying to be trendy wrecking it
When the ice cream place is open you can get your cider and donuts there, which is convenient. The lines are absolutely always crazy long. It's annoying. I wish they'd find a way to process people faster. But, honestly there's probably not which is why I'm not docking any stars. Their donuts and cider and caramel apples are all great. Best cider Mill
