I've been to the Ann arbor location twice, it's a great place to grab a quick bite to eat and drinks. The atmosphere is great and draws a good crowd being right downtown, we went for happy hour ordering fries, mussels and a few beers. The food was good as usual and the beers are always fun to taste. The service was great and the girl was very friendly and willing to help us make the right beer choice!!!
I've been to JP up near Traverse City and this place was just as good. While the Traverse location is a sight to behold (they're in an old mansion I think), this location is right downtown. They offer some of the best sour beers around and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Had a burger with mushrooms and a giant slab of melty cheese on it, definitely would be one I would get again.
Edit: This place does everything right but one thing. They gotta match the downstairs bar's lighting with the upstairs. They're too bright downstairs and they shine right at me when I'm sitting at the bar. The upstairs bar lights are great, just tone down the lights at the downstairs bar.
Great pizza, the bartenders are cool. I go there semi-regularly and am never disappointed.
Nice place for a beer and bar food. Have been here multiple times and am always satisfied. Prices are a little high for bar type food, but the quality is very good.
Super unique menu with plenty of options for vegans!
Tofu báhn mì was amazing and my husband was very pleased with the lamb burger. Great food for a place known for their beer!
Great selection of beverage choices, especially if you're a fan of sour beers. The food is also very good, with options for vegan and vegetarians if you are of the variety. Get the potato pizza or the truffle fries as a snack. You won't be disappointed. During the warmer seasons, the rooftop is also open in the evening, and its a great place to hang out with friends.
Always creative meals with fresh and lite ingredients. They had a number of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Last time (pre-vegetarian) I had a killer BLT; great flavor. Last night I had a tofu sandwich and salad. Friends had a grilled cheese that they said was excellent. I haven't explored the dinner options at this location yet. AA seems to be more sandwichy than the Mission. This is not a critique just a locational observationIt helps that I love sour beers and Jolly Pumpkin has some of the best.
Good beer and awesome food! Nice menu; especially for a foodie. We had a small hick-up getting our table the manager made it right very quickly. Our server, the bartender, and the hostess were all super friendly and helpful. We will return:)
One of my favorites in A2. Great beer lineup that keeps changing. The food is amazing. With healthy, delicious salads and great burgers with many other options as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Go out on a limb and try some sour beer!!
Great food and the service was amazing. And I do mean exceptional. Our waiter was so helpful, even though we were a difficult group. Always smiling and answering questions about what kind of beer to recommend. He was exceptional, I wish I remembered his name, went above and beyond to find my friends the right beer that they asked for.
I would come here everyday if it was conducive to my wallet and my belly. They have such interesting and delicious sour beers, a great selection of crafty beers, and amazing appetizers and burgers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Second time here. I waited a year to return to Ann Arbor just to return here. Food is excellent. The variety of beer options are good and bartenders know their brew. Good recommendations. And I like that you can get small pours. The best truffle fries ever.
This restaurant started as a small family run Korean place near University Hospital. It has since moved and become one of Ann Arbor's finest restaurants. I especially like it for its fabulous fish-beautifully prepared with yummy sauces that are not too overpowering. This is a place for a lovely evening out.
