Romantic getaway. We got a free upgraded for our honeymoon. From the seventh floor I could see Santa Monica beach out our suite window. The pier is across the street. Parking at the hotel is not free. The staff was very nice.
Santa Monica is so beautifull, too bad there are so many homeless people in the area.
Location is perfect! Right across the street from the Pier entrance, and just 1-2 blocks from the downtown Santa Monica area. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Keep in mind you do need to pay for parking. Hallways looked a bit dated but the rooms were modern and well-kept. Service was great and friendly. I am definitely returning to this hotel!
Good customer service. The room was clean. A little noisy and the mattresses were hard. Great location
I enjoyed my three day stay here well enough. I didn't manage to try their bar or breakfast so I'm not rating that. But the staff was very accommodating. We showed up about 3 hours before check-in. While I wasn't expecting to get in to my room right away they said they'd call me when my room was ready - within 3 hours. I walked to beach and within 30 mins they had called me and said I could check-in! That was great. But then again when I was set to check-out at 11am my car was in their garage (its all valet parking) and I asked if I could leave it there until I was ready to leave the city (like three hours later) and they said they could give me a late check-out and not charge me any extra for keeping my car in the garage! That's some great customer service.
Greet customer service! The valet were all very nice and assisted me with my luggage even though I didn't use valet services. The girl who checked me in was wonderful. I hate that I forgot her name. When I told her that I really wanted to see the ocean from my room, she switched my room for me and put me in a great room that let me watch the waves roll in. The room was nice, great shower, and everything was very clean. I would definitely return.
Beds of no remarkable comfortableness. Expensive on-demand with poor usability and a bad picture on the TV. Shower was ok. Bath soap bottle sucked, it kept splooging out. Vending machine busted on our floor. Breakfast not included, parking so expensive. Overall nice room.
The location is obviously great for hanging around SM or Marina Del Rey. What needs work is the management and common sense when it comes to good customer service. Expect to be raked across the coals at every opportunity. We had one day to spend in LA and Wyndham managed to almost completely ruin it.
Location was perfect. (its what you are being charged for). Price was steep, but we get why.
Staff was very helpful, room was nice, parking was WAY overpriced. We liked the hotel, but for the money it wasnt somewhere we would ever stay again.
The hotel is in a great location close to the pier. However, do not stay if you're depending on the Wyndham Rewards program. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and have not been able to get credit. I've asked and always gotten a runaround that ends with 0 points.
Was a joke do not stay here. They advertised ocean view and they can not give you a ocean view room. All we seen was a bunch of trees and highway traffic. I spoke to the manager and they could not give me a room that had a view. My wife is claustrophobic and only pays for rooms that have a ocean view. Now Wyndham is charging my account for the room even though she wanted to leave, we could not even be in the room until she went to sleep. She would have an anxiety attack from the room being so enclosed. The elevators are tight, the pool is on the bottom level past a parking lot and in a scary condemned area that I would not allow my kids alone. Know we have gone through weeks of chaos to get this removed. By the way you have to pay 50 dollars a day to park your car here , at a hotel that you are paying to stay at. In which they do not tell you in the advertising that either, that's another surprise when you get there. You have bums crossing all over the place and we seen a fight between them in the morning, so this is not a safe place to stay. I have never been so disappointed in a Wyndham in all the years I stayed at there hotels, not ever staying at a Wyndham again EVER
A friend and I went in there to charge our phones but ended up getting drinks. It was a very relaxed environment. I liked the atmosphere and the staff was friendly.
Aside from having to park in a nearby garage to avoid the $47/day hotel parking fee, check-in, amenities, and room we're excellent. The location can't be beat if you're looking to be near the pier. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping within walking distance too.
A very nice, clean hotel experience. You can't ask for more if you're staying in Santa Monica. This is just about as close as you can get to the beach without being on the beach.
The attached photo is of the "partial view of the ocean" that you can get. No rooms face the water directly, so you can only kind of see it.
Nice room on the third floor. Staff was friendly and courteous. Easy to get in and out of. Bathroom was very narrow and the neighbors snores could be heard through the walls. Next time I would have explored the hotel more.
