Five star amenities and service. Two star bed. I have stayed at the Viceroy in New York and told my wife to prepare for a luxurious sleep in the Sferra sheets. Unfortunately the bed was terribly disappointing. Great location. Great staff. Very average, if not below average bed.

This hotel is really nice. Good location and exceptional front desk staff and valet. Close to the ocean and room was very clean. The reason this is three stars is due to the restaurant in the hotel. The waiter was quite impatient and didn't know anything about the menu. Seemed like he wanted us gone. The desert was freezer burnt and the the whole experience at the restaurant was way below what you would expect for $500 a night USD. Stay at the hotel and eat somewhere else. If I hadnt went to the restaurant this would be 5 stars. Also there is no self parking option it's only valet so keep that in mind.

Don’t be fooled by the ugly exteriorthis is a great hotel. Lovely rooms, pool and views if you pay for it.
The manager (William?) dealt with the noise coming from the room next door well.
It’s expensive though, and you’re not getting a place on the beach for the money. If you’re good with thatcrack on.response / report this review -

I brought a 6 year old swimming here on Sunday. The DJ who was playing noon to 5 was amazing. She plays great music and her abilities are so good. I highly recommend if you're going to be at the pool, go Sundays noon to 5 and let loose with her great track selection. The pools are small but nice and so are the staff. The decor is upscale. I would visit here again.

Excellent hotel. Usually I'm quite picky, and change rooms at least twice till I find one without offending odors or rowdy neighbors. Perfect on the first go. The windows are silent, double panes. Slept like a baby. Restaurant is amazing. Eat the truffle Parmesan fries.

We ended our California road trip at the Viceroy and loved every minute. The pool is dreamy and offers plenty of shaded areas for non-sunbathers. The customer service was wonderful, and we enjoyed some honeymoon perks. Excellent cocktails and snacks at the restaurant as well. Our roof was beautiful with a view of the ocean and palm trees. We will definitely stay again if we're back in Santa Monica.

Love this hotel and the management is amazing.
Pros:
- Amazing Hotel (beautiful rooms, lobby, pool area, cabanas
- Amazing Food
- Great Happy Hour
- The Pool Area is amazing (featured in many films and TV shows such as Entourage). I love coming here and posting up in a Cabana and work from there for the day.
- Management is amazingly gracious and accommodating (If they can make your stay better in any way they'll do what it takes).
- Drink variety and knowledge of their bar tenders is also top notch (if you want to have a few cocktails)
- Decor really ties this hotel together (a classy, timeless style in every way possible)
- Valet Service is awesome, they are super fast and handle it with the utmost respect.
Cons:
- Valet is pricey ($16 for non hotel guests and $8 for hotel guests). Street parking after 6 in front just past the Viceroy on your right going north on Ocean Ave.

This hotel can be easy to miss behind the foliage lining the front. Still, a nice, small banquet hall for intimate events.

Great service from all staff members. They were fast, respectful and always asked me if I needed help. The room and building was beautiful. Well lit, easy to operate tech and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Definitely would recommend this place especially considering how close it is to the ocean

Went to Viceroy Santa Monica for a wedding. The views of the ocean were amazing and the decor around the swimming pool and outdoor patio were beautiful. The food served was very well done from the chicken to the salmon.
