Good hotel with reasonable price range considering its location in one of the upscale areas of Phoenix. Very helpful and amicable staff are running this property. The place has its own parking garage and there is no hassle finding parking at any time. There is a wonderful outdoor sitting area in the back of the hotel and a fitness center with most of the required cardio equipment is available there. Rooms are nice and tidy with all necessities available. Only thing not available in the rooms is a mini fridge. Otherwise a great place to stay in Phoenix.

Decent but aged hotel. Across the street from a gay book shop. The free breakfast in the morning is okay.

Not terrible. I've been to worse hotels. It was clean, staff was friendly and their continental breakfast was actually quite good! Loses points for rust stains in the tub, crack in the bathroom door and a lamp that wouldn't turn on. There was construction going on just outside my window as well so good luck sleeping in. Looks like there was an in-room fridge but it was removed.

Mattresses are very firm, if that's your thing. Not mine but some folks like that.

I stayed in this hotel for the ABRCMS conference and was disappointed by the awful experience. I chaperoned three students and all of us had problems. The worst was when my student got bedbugs. I went to her room to verify the concern and then had management come in. The staff confirmed that there were bedbugs and moved them to a new room. I had to argue with them to at least put the students' clothes in a drier in an attempt to kill the bedbugs. This was a logical request since they would spread the bedbugs to another room if they did not clean their items.
Despite this major issue the staff was dismissive of the problem and I had to ask twice before they grudgingly agreed to dry the clothes.
Additionally, my room smelled like smoke and their were stains on the walls and furniture. When I reported the smell they did not offer to change rooms. My other two students also complained that their room smelled. Overall, I understand mistakes, but the staff typically seemed rushed and dismissive of all problems. Also, two out of three of the workout machines were broken during my stay and they accidentally charged my card $500 when I first arrived. They did fix this error. Check in also took quite a long time. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. The positives of the hotel were that they had a nice breakfast and a lovely patio area. When not being asked for anything the staff was pleasant to interact with.

Awful! Horrible smell in lobby and other areas. Everything outdated and dirty. Sink has big crack in it. Carpet has several frayed patch pieces. Stains on bed coverings. Rate was non-refundable, or we would've left. This is the kind of place where you'd be seeing bed bugs. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Upgraded from 1 to 2 stars due to friendly staff who tried accommodating us with a somewhat better room.

This review I probably strongly influenced by my experiences, however I had to get my key card replaced three times before I could even get into my room, and to get in, maintenance needed to come help me, then after four hours of the room not cooling down, I had to call maintenance again and they had to move me to a new room because the ac was out. The beds were sleep number beds however the remotes didn't work very well. Honestly, I want to like this place, but I probably will not be returning.

Location is not the best, tucked behind the Ramada it's a little difficult to find. Very clean and friendly staff. I would give it 5stars however location is too important for my hotel decision making.

Amazing rates, with an outstanding property. The building itself is older, but has been refurbished nicely. The highlights are the terrific outdoor spaces, including a beach volleyball court, tennis court, and cool pool, plus a really good breakfast. The only ding is the tedious parking situation.

Just got here. I'm in Phoenix for work. I was almost afraid to get off the elevator in the 6th floor. Carpet is filthy. I'll give it a 2 for now. Bed hard. We'll see.

Rooms were nice, the restaurant is delicious but a bit pricey for dinner. There is free continental breakfast that is tasty and offers a variety of hot and cold choices. We love this hotel because it is centrally located down town and close to the zoo and aquarium, but more importantly it has an amazing pool and playground for our daughter when we just want to relax at the hotel!

HORRIBLE!!! THEY CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD $264 THEN WHEN I CHECKOUT RECEIPT SAYS $180 .then they sneak A $50.75 smoking fee when it's a 100% non smoking hotel. I nor my mother smokes due to her having a breathing machine and oxygen tanks. The tub filled up when u took a shower. No refrigerator in room. Called twice for one never got it. Mother uses insulin so I had to keep refilling ice bucket til ice machine stopped working. Nats flying around no matter how many I killed they kept coming back thru vent . Strange noises waking me up at 7 am sounding like old pipes and construction of some sort. TV didn't come with a guide. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

Bummer this place is closing down. The restaurant was actually pretty good and the prices weren't awful. The courtyard is awesome. Rooms are clean.

Stayed here for a work trip. I have stayed here a couple times and some rooms are way better than others. Some rooms have sleep number mattress while others don't. Some rooms have quality AC with a thermostat while other have a floor unit with a switch on the floor unit. Restaurant isn't bad and has good happy hour specials. Breakfast buffet is decent as well.

The rooms are a bit dated. We checked in around 7:00 PM to a room that smelled of a chemical like carpet cleaner, however the carpet had stains - something brownish - approximately 2" in diameter - on the floor next to my side of the bed. Carpets have a worn appearance in higher traffic areas.

Sheets were dirty, and pillows smelled so strongly of dirty hair that I could not sleep. I awoke about 3:00 AM itching, and had rash all over my body. The top bed spread blanket smelled of dried sweat.

The next morning, I spoke with front desk employee and requested a complete stripping of the bed along with replacement of the pillows and comforter. They complied and the next night I slept well.

Sleep number bed was not functional and the mattress on my side of the bed was sagged at the edge where one typically sits when laying down or getting out of bed.

Staff is friendly, and accommodating, but the hotel's overall appearance belies a corporate decision to withhold on keeping up with the times indicating perhaps that the company is not faring so well in these tough economic times.

At any rate, my throat wasn't itchy like the first night, and I had no skin rash once the bed linens were replaced.

I like Wyndham and have stayed in their hotels throughout the US without these kinds of negative experiences. I hope they get it together.

As this is my first time in Phoenix - here for a convention - I am not sure about whether this hotel's location is in a bad part of town, but across the street from the hotel sits an adult arcade/store.

Really enjoyed this stay - there's a generous free breakfast, and you can eat outside in the very pretty garden. It was freezing cold when I was there, and the staff seemed amused that I wanted to sit outside, but they went along with it. There are hummingbirds in the garden. The only shops nearby are Walgreens and an office supply store. Dining is a bit further away, but the hotel restaurant looks cool. There's a Safeway quite close. This hotel is on the light rail.
