Awesome course, definitely one of the nicest public options in the general area.
Always in great shape, greens are quick, and it can be very challenging under certain conditions. The layout is unique versus Other courses around, and if you do some planning you can get good deals on tee time booking sites.
I noticed a few bad reviews regarding the restaurant with no mention of the course. it's above average compared to the bar/restaurants at comparable public venues, but you're definitely coming here for the golf experience primarily.response / report this review -

One of the best courses around the area (including private clubs). Greens are always true and usually quick. Sometimes they leave them a little longer but that's probably due to weather and pace of play. Owner does not put up with slow play, so if you require more than 4 hours (which is crazy if you take that long) go somewhere else or join a private club. I've seen the owner refund slow groups and kick them off. Nothing worse than going on a birdie birage and then waiting 20 mins before your next swing. This is not an easy course and can be very difficult with the wind. It can also be very scoreable with how true the greens are. The restaurant is great and offers typical pub food with a casual atmosphere. I highly recommend this course to the avid golfer. Do not recommend to 20+ handicapsyou're in for a long round and could lose a few dozen balls.

The Golf Course is very good. It's challenging, in great condition and we played 18 holes in 4 hours.

Food is always yummy with great choices. Drinks are done well. Clean,open areas for sitting. ( Tables aren't jammed too close together.) Friendly staff.

Beautiful setting - horrible meals at restaurant last night. For example, my beef filet was supposed to be cooked medium but arrived very well-done, charred, tough and tasteless. Same with my husband's hamburger. The restaurant's only attempt to redress our grievance was to offer a complimentary dessert so we wouldn't go away unhappy. We will never recommend this restaurant to our friends. Of course, we will never dine here again.

Always a pleasure. Not a golfer but got to enjoy the ball and thistle pub many times. Dated decor and dodgy piped in elevator music doesn't detract from the great staff and good times.

Great golf course. Would be at home in a golf resort such as Myrtle Beach. It's not easy but the condition of the course was amazing. Deep deep rough/Heather if you miss the fairway bad enough, so be warned. One of the best courses in the area for sure.

I had my wedding reception here and everything was wonderful! The event staff are great and really worked with us to make sure we were happy. Our guests commented on the lovely venue and the delicious food. I definitely recommend Wyncote for hosting events!
