It’s definitely an experience and well worth it. It’s really not that expensive since you don’t have to worry about tipping. The food is fresh, homemade and delicious. Our friends brought us there when we were visiting from Queens and now that we moved to PA we can go whenever we want! 🤳🏻💃🏻🍽☕️

My family and I visited this summer from Colorado Springs, where we are stationed. Shady Maple is NOT cheap, so we inquired about a Military Discount, being that we are active duty. I was astounded that they did not off any kind of discount whatsoever! I'm quite certain this is how the "Military Discount" they have posted on their website started, the rumor being that they will not serve men and women in uniform.

Their website states:
"We value all our customers including our veterans and those currently in service. When the servicemen and women of our armed forces choose to visit the Shady Maple Smorgasbord for a meal, we are delighted to have them join us for an exceptional dining experience.

If they valued us so much, they'd give a discount! Food was good, but we won't be back.

There is no way around the fact that this place is expensive. In my opinion though, this buffet is worth the price tag. You have a great variety of locally grown foods and not to mention it tastes great too. People travel from far to eat at this place. If that doesn't tell you something, I don't know what will. 10/10 would recommend

The restaurant is huge. The food is usually very tasty. Every once in a while it's a little off. On different days they may have different chefs and cooks. The chicken is good, but sometimes salty. The roast beef in gravy is delicious.There's also many other varieties of meats and fish. It has a large salad area that is good. There is a large variety of items to choose from. Take a little at a time, so you can try a variety of items. Don't forget to check out the grill area and the dessert area. Many, many different desserts, cobbler, apple dumpling, apple & cherry crisp, various pies and cakes, sundae bar, soft serve ice cream, puddings and fruits.

All the areas are kept very clean. Enjoy!!!

My first time coming here was definitely worth it. The array of food you can choose from is at first overwhelming but quickly becomes a delicious site! You definitely have to pace yourself but between the salad bar, hot bar and dessert options; you just want to toss everything on your plate! The lines move quick and the freshly made hot food is always coming out from the back kitchen. The food bars are always kept clean, as is the plates and silverware! Definitely makes a long trip worth it; can't wait to come back !

Awesome place love coming here though I only stop in once a year its so good! So much good food for such a good price I love seafood night and the ice cream bar.After eating a meal I stop in the gift shop which is HUGE and has anything you need. All around this place is the best of the best when talking buffets I love shady and all the staff I hope you can have a good experience also!

I cannot visit the Lancaster area without going to Shady Maple. It is amazing! Our wedding reception was held in their banquet facilities and the staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day so special. Plus, all of our guests LOVED the amazing food. Thank you!

Went for Mother's Day and it was packed. Well worth the 1 hour wait. Not just a restaurant. This is a destination with so much to see and do. I absolutely love the grocery store. It's a must stop.

Amazing huge smorgasbord with wonderful food. We went with a large group for a late lunch so we had a reserved area. Otherwise there's a long line to be seated. Part of our group has significant allergies. We contacted them in advance and the chef prepared versions of their food that my friends could safely eat. He also pointed out the "safe" foods in the hot and cold foods areas.

Absolutely love this place! I have been coming here ever since I was little. I'm fortunate enough to only be about 45 minutes away from this place, so we make it down once a month or once ever 2 months. My favorite meal is breakfast, but you can't go wrong with a single one of them! I love coming here because the food is delicious, it's an amazing atmosphere, and the gift shop downstairs is bound to have something absolutely amazing! Plus, you get a free meal and coupons for your birthday!

Great food , selection and service. I was there 6-3-17 the prime rib and the strip steak were great. I also had breaded shrimp and the creamy mashed potatoes.
The shoo-in pie and Egg Custard were delicious.
Eat an early dinner the day before and don't eat breakfast. You need to bring a hearty aka ( starving ) appetite.

If Gluttony is your goal then you came to the right place. I am a big fan of eating Breakfast there. The food is really good and the staff is always friendly. Be aware they are not open on Sundays so do not even think about it. On a Saturday be prepared to wait in a long line if you arrive after 7am. It is worth the wait but you had better have a lot of topics to discuss with your friends while waiting to be seated. If you can walk out of there instead of waddling then you did not do it right! Sadly I live about 5 min from here and my waistline can attest to that fact!

Not sure why I haven't rated this sooner. What could be better than all you can eat breakfast for free on your birthday? The artwork displayed throughout is really cool. And the shop below is amazing too. They have a lot of quality collectables and furniture.

More than just a touristy attraction, Shady Maple arguably has the best buffet food you'll ever have. It's a gigantic building with a satisfyingly wide variety of food to choose from. They also give you a free meal on your birthday! The wait staff is pleasant, and they keep your table clean. It's something you have to experience at least once! (Or maybe fifteen times so you can try all the food!!)
