Nightmarish emergency room experience. These horrible, horrible people have the gall to advertise on US 1 that they have 5 minute wait times for the emergency room. How profoundly dishonest these people are! That means they will give you a clipboard within five minutes and then you can wait 4 hours to see someone and then 3 hours more to get a rushed, incomplete answer. Need something? Expect to wait a LONG time. There is one part of the emergency room staff that will be on the ball and that is the billing department making damn sure that they rape every last cent you own from you and your children's children. My God how can this place be allowed to function like this? THIRD WORLD HOSPITAL WITH BEVERLY HILLS PRICES. RUN RUN RUN-- and go someplace else if you possibly can! When you see that sign on US 1 just know that THESE PEOPLE ARE DEEPLY DECEPTIVE AND YOU WILL SIT FOR HOURS AND HOURS WITHOUT HELP. $$$$$$$$$$$$ IS WHAT THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT.

This hospital has really improved drastically over the last year. I was admitted today for heart palpitations. As soon as I walked in the door, the nurse at the front desk (Craig, I believe his name was) helped me right away. He was very friendly and attentive to all my issues. The RN took me in as little as 2 minutes. EVERYONE was SO friendly. Alexandra Chitty was the doctor I believe and she was so attentive and helpful. She assured me that I would be okay, and calmed me down because I was so worried of the issues I was having. Out of all the hospitals in St Lucie County (Lawnwood, Tradition, etc) St. Lucie Medical is the best. They have really raised the bar. I will gladly recommend them now to anyone. They were so fast at helping me. The last few times I came here they had me in and out in less than an hour. They made me feel so comfortable. Thank you St Lucie Medical and your amazing staff! I would give 10 stars if I could.

Hospital visits are not something you look forward to. That said I had two full knee replacements this year, April & Sept. My first one went so smoothly and I was so well taken care of I had no concerns leading to my second one. Once again I was treated with first class treatment in a top notch hospital by a first rate staff!
I highly recommend St. Lucie Medical Center and Dr. Mark Powers. Both of my knees are doing very well and my recovery, thanks to his muscle sparing technique was amazing. After both knee replacements I was back riding my road bike and playing full rounds of golf in exactly four weeks!

My entire stay at the hospital was very positive. The nurses, physical therapists, support staff, and all doctors were wonderful. My room was spacious and very clean. The only suggestion is that every room should have a chair that makes into a bed for a spouse or parent that stays overnight.

The best ER experience I have ever witnessed. From the moment I arrived I was checked in taken to a room. Greeted by several doctors and nurses. The entire staff including the Radiology tech, to the registration, the transporters. Every single person was positive and had great attitudes. I'm thankful that I didn't believe the previous negative reviews.

I am going to take my wife to this ER, even though there are waaaaay to many negative reviews. I took her to the hospital ER at Tradition and it was horrific! I guess we'll give this one a try. What's with these hospitals in St Lucie? There should never be this many bad reviews! I might amend this after we have our experience today. I'm expecting a good outcome.

My experience happened 6 years ago but still impacts my life today. I was in a high school dance team and got seriously injured and brought to the emergency room. I did a front flip during my dance routine and landed incorrectly causing my left leg from the hip down pain. Well when I got to the ER the doctor determined that I just pulled a hamstring. No MRI no X-ray I was sent home with meds and crutches. Fast forward to 5 months later I joined the armed forces and after training I had the same pain again! So I went to the doctor and got X-rays. Well my X-ray revealed that I had a healing stress fracture across my femoral edema. Followed by a fresh fracture at another location. Needless to say I had a fractured hip the whole time. So today I have 3 nice screws on my left hip from hip surgery. Had I not known my hip was actually fractured I would not have gone to training.

I have the utmost respect for the staff at this hospital. The maternity ward has been exceptionally professional and pleasant. All have done a fantastic job with my daughter who delivered via emergency C-section on Monday. I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for her. From the bottom of my heartThank you.

We had our second baby boy at this hospital and the staff on the 5th floor in maternity dept. are all exceptional. We had our baby in the middle of hurricane Irma. Last labor at a different hospital definitely was not as pleasant. The nurses, midwife and Dr. Really do care about their patients here. They made this experience so great we wish we would of had our 1st born here. You can really tell they all have a passion for what they do.

It's the 2nd time we go there to the ER. I think this is the best medical service I have ever received and by far the fastest. The staff is fast, professional, kind. The Doctors are amazing and follow up. It's a very very well managed place.

may 5i do not want to give any stars!! having heart palpitations, i called for an ambulance they were rude i will make a complaint to those also. the er was ok but i needed ride home they refused to call my dr.s office to see if they had some conciege service,to get me home. they told me i should have made all those arrangements before i came in. on friday after they said i needed a catheterization which i had done, however i still don't know what the prognosis was or what is wrong with my heart just get out was the attitude and i still do not know the actual diagnosis of my heart. they gave me meds. the nurse said here take this, no explanation from a dr.. after 2 hrs they told me i could leave but don't drive, so i said how am i to get home but i should have made those arrangements b/f i came in BECAUSE they don't do that, since i was there a few days i asked for some hot water to wash up, so the nurse brought me in a quart container full so scalding hot water, put it on my tray and left the room, no basin,no towel,no wash cloth, no soap just the hot water, same gown for 2 days i had to get up out of bed to find those things,the idiots that take your blood well i am so bruised they could not find my veins i told 3 of them to get out. these are facts ! some people were nice but when i came back from the cath. they left the room i didn't have any thing from the night b/f and i needed some water, 4 nurses aides went buy but i asked could i please have a drink of water they all kept walking finally i screamed then the last one came over" what do you want", i repeated i needed some water, so she picked up a full pitcher and put it at my shoulder with the straw sticking out the top and expected me to get a drink! then i said really so she poured it in a cup and put that on my shoulder, i said really then she finally put the straw at my mouth so i could get a drink are you done ! and left don't got to this hospital, it was a horrible experience

I had the best experience here at Labor and Delivery. Everybody was so nice and extremely helpful. I couldn't be happier with my experience and I have a healthy baby boy because of it. Thank you to all who we're involved!

Dr. Steckel was so rude. While in the ER she asked me why am I there while I am speaking to her she turns her back to me totally distracted and walks out without listening to the rest of my systems. Felt her disinterest. Three times she repeated "Oh you need to change your lifestyle" well what does she know about my lifestylenothing. She didn't ask me what it was in the first place. Please no more Dr. Steckel.

Place is terrible checking in was fast. Taking my insurance was fast. Then everything ground to a standstill. We waited well over a hour to get a anti inflammatory oral medication for my 4 year old daughter. Then the nurse comes in and hands it to my daughter and tells her she a big girl she can do it. Hello she's 4. So I had to take it and give it to my daughter. Never again will I come here. Next time I will go to Martin Memorial.
