One of the worst ski resorts I’ve ever been to. Way too expensive for what it is. Tiny resort and rather than making snow where it’s needed they point the cannons in the middle of the busy run so you get directly hit with it while coming down the mountain. They say they have four lifts even though half of those “lifts” are magic carpets. I fell while getting off the ski lift and the operator didn’t even stop it while I was on the ground. People could have run right into me. Super unprofessional. Don’t waste your time and money here, you’ll be disappointed especially if you’ve been to other resorts.

This place is so much fun! The staff is friendly and the slopes are fun to ski on. Even better, down the road is a spot for tubing for the kids.

Horrible customer service. I booked the snow tubing online since I am from out of town, for 3 adults and a child not knowing that the ramp is literally for toddlers and not for adults since its so small. No where do they say on the website that its a small ramp and the pictures aren't accurate. Since we were staying on a cabin up on the mountain when I passed by and saw the size I went in person to cancel and obtain a refund since their policy clearly states refunds will be given within a 24hr notice and I was within the 24hr notice, however when I got there, there was a child (the son of the owner/manager) and said he didn't know how to do the refund so he called his father who was at the ski resort on top of the mountain and said he would be right down. I waited for about 30 min and he never came I left my number with the child to please call me since we had to go. Tim the manager or owner called me over an hour later asking why I wanted a refund if it was to go snow tubing at Zip N Slip Snow Tubing Park, to make a long story short he basically refused to give me my refund because we wanted to go to the other snow tubing park which we did and I HIGHLY recommend. The owner of Zip n Slip gave great service and the tube run is HUGE and fun for all ages. It even rained and he gave us extra time and gave us all hot chocolate . oh and he never gave me my refund!! was supper rude and unprofessional. Do NOT recommended the snow tubing or the ski lodge. Nothing looks like the pictures.

Good place for scratching the skiing itch that is close to Asheville. As an advanced skiier, I enjoyed an afternoon there- more time wasn't necessary. However, it was the second day of their season when I went.

We had a wonderful day of snow boarding. Staff was a little slow is helping get our rentals, but overall we had a fantastic day and loved being about to ski when it's 60° outside

Such a wonderful family environment! My daughter had some ski instruction and they did a great job showing her the basics!

Snow is decent. The folks who work there are super nice and its not crowded. Best slope around Asheville.

I visited on the "perfect" day, after 6" of snow fall, but they had the snow blowers running which really sucked. Only one of their two chair lifts was running, and only 50% of their slopes were open. I expected better, but this was most likely due to the conditions, so I cant blame them. That said, I still believe it wouldnt have been much better otherwise. The mountain is very small and the slope layout felt mismanaged. They have blue runs that feed directly into green unload landings, which is dangerous and creates a severe bottle neck. The slopes are designed for advanced riders (even the green runs), so beginners beware! In my opinion Cataloochee is much better, and considering its the same distance away from me as Wolf, it will getting all of my future business.

I've been skiing most of my life but this is the furthest south I've been. I've never been anywhere where they keep the snow machines on during the day while people are using the slopes. They have the machines arranged so that it is impossible to make it down the mountain without being blasted by ice shards. If you are fortunate enough to be wearing goggles, they will instantly freeze over making it impossible to see where you are going. If you are goggle-less be prepared to be blinded by hundreds of ice crystals being shot at high speeds directly at head height of the average skier. There is no escape so most people just crash into trees, poles, each other etc. imagine a Sea World Antarctica splash zone. Despite just getting 6+ inches of natural snow yesterday, the conditions were very icy on this tiny little mountain. Prices are high considering the size of the mountain and the very basic nature of the trails.

We had a great time at Wolf Ridge Ski Resort. I was very skeptical because of the reviews I saw. I am a seasoned snowboarder who used to work at a resort in California, but my boyfriend was brand new to snow sports and needed a ski lesson. I saw tons of reviews saying their teachers were very skilled, patient, and attentive and the resort was cheaper than others nearby so we gave it a shot and we didn't regret it. I do wish there had been more lifts open, but as there hadn't been any real snow yet, I can understand why, so really I have no complaints. The staff is really nice and sincere, the mountain conditions are average (not a complaint), and their food is decent. Give it a shot.
