My hubby and I wintered here last year and enjoyed it, so we are doing it again this year, with the addition of our little dog. It's close and convenient to The Villages (which has tons of shops, restaurants and good free entertainment), shopping and it's about 45 miles to both the gulf coast and Orlando. The park is under new ownership with many changes on the horizon (more/bigger lots, new activities directors, new clubhouse in the near future, etc). Everyone on the staff is very nice and they work hard to keep the place nice and clean. Based on our experiences at the park and surrounding areas, we would absolutely recommend this park! :)

My husband and i have been in this park just over 1 week .The water, septic, and electricity all worked good. We also have free WiFi and Cable TV that worked just fine too. The manager was very nice and laid back. The manager said it just went to new ownership and they are doing a amazing job with the campground yesterday they were cutting down old trees to make it safe for our rigs, Got to talk to one of the owners he seemed nice he apologized for loud noise of the chainsaws running which i thought was awful nice of him. We plan to stay this season so i will write another one in a month to see how thing are going oh ya they also have cabins so if any of our family wanted to come and visit they can just rent a cabin on the property . The owner said he was putting full pull through's in so you didn't have to unhook your car from your rig i really like that idea because it is off of the I75 so that would be convenient . We sure could have used that a few time on our way down here. The activities have just begun so i have been to bingo, Coffee & Donuts and Movie Night, Karaoke there seems to be a lot of thing going on in this campground and you are close to restaurants, gas and they offer propane in the campground.

A nice, quiet campground conveniently located at the intersection of route 75 and 44 in Wildwood. Easy access with mostly pull through sites. Clean restrooms and showers, friendly staff and visitors. Close to major shopping and The Villages with plenty of outdoor activities close by. All venues of dining are easily accessible to suit any palate and pocketbook. Great for an overnight or extended stay.

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs in one of the cabins. It was clean and comfortable. From the time we got to this campground until we left, we found that ALL of the staff went the extra mile to assure that we were taken care of. We will definitely suggest this campground to our friends coming through this area!

Friendly staff, tried to talk us into more than just the night but we were headed south. Roomy, pull through sites, nice shade trees and picnic table. Very clean bathrooms/washrooms.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. This place is a joke. It's old. The spots are too small. The pool is DISGUSTING. Don't even bother with the bathrooms. EWE. The owner has NO people skills. None. Don't even think about bringing in a service animal. They don't understand the rules and don't care to understand. And most importantly, they're HOMOPHOBES big time. You will be asked to leave if you are a part of the LGBTQ community. I am not a part of that community, but I witnessed a lovely couple being asked to leave for that reason and that reason only. It was appalling. The KOA brand shouldn't even be attached to this vile place.

Some staff too busy minding my business to do theirs or too busy with their phones to converse at campfire. Staff: 60% are helpful, conversant and nice.
I had my dog reported to the state as being to thin. Totally false, but an officer from animal welfare came out to my trailer check. Embarrassing for me as my service dog is the perfect weight for his breed. The officer immediately acknowledged he was not too thin. Just meanness and spite. Saddens my spirit.
Two staff lit last weekends campfire. He then spent the night fiddling on his phone and she barely spoke. She did suggest I use the pool for exercise when I mentioned I was using the porch swing by the office to loosen up my knees. I said I was hesitant to use the pool because of my service dog. Half out of courtesy and half out of fear someone would complain. She said, "Don't take him." I explained that he goes where I go. I need him there to help me. I don't think she understood as she said nothing else.
Sure 'nuff, Monday morning I get told on the phone that I can't take my service dog inside the pool area. What followed was an attempt to educate them on service dog access under federal law (ADA). The staff needs training in service dog etiquette and access rights.
Today the manager told me I cannot enter the pool area with my dog, that their lawyers looked it up. When I tried to show him the access statute via my phone he said I would have to print it out for them. Another hurdle. I dont have a printer in my camper. Then he said if I did that, he would claim my dog was vicious because he barks at little dogs. He started saying something about a 10 foot fence. (?) Funny, it's usually the little dogs doing all the yapping that attracts my dog from attention to me.
My spirit aches within me at the way these people live. As I pray for them I will lay it at Christ's feet and remember what a friend shared with me this week: "To pray is to let go and let God take over." I let go. Jesus, you take the wheel.response / report this review -

Very nice! All campgrounds have pros and cons, but the managers and employees are very nice and accomodating. We are satisfied enough to stay past our 6 month reservation. Jan and Larry are awesome. Many planned activities, paved streets for strolling or bikes. The rec hall has darts, pool table, many books, puzzles and movies. The pool is VERY nice and facilities are clean. They have an adequate laundry facility and other outdoor activities. Our first trip to Wildwood has been great! Lots of places to eat and shop near by. The owner is nice as well.

I will agree..the man that runs it had no people skills whatsoever !! He acts like he's doing you a favor by renting to you. There is a pilot truckstop right next to it that never shuts down..so if peace n quiet is what your looking for..keep going down a few more miles and you will find it..actually it is pricey too 50.00 per night..no weekly..and they shut the pool at 530 !! who does that in Florida? we travel extensively abs have to say this is one of the worst for a KOA. they should have it revoked !

I really loved this campground. Good prices, lots of pull through lots.
Laundry mat on site, heated pool on site and a small dog park.
There is a mini gold course that I did not visit this.
