Upon arriving to the resort, it was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and I liked the fact that it was close to the parks. After that initial excitement, we were very disappointed. The room was very, very outdated, shower was dirty and room smelled of cigarettes. Beds had to of been made of cardboard, so hard and uncomfortable. The room was supposed to be decorated for my daughters birthday and had that ordered weeks in advance. That was really really a big disappointment when it was no ballon in sight. That next morning found ROACHES crawling around!!! Called to report and they office sent pest control. When pest control came he told us we were supposed to keep the bugs! Why?? And how was I supposed to know, I have a small child who puts any and everything in his mouth! Why would I keep nasty bug. The manager told us they would call back to move us to another room. Never heard back from her!! Please save your time and headache and go to another place. It’s a shame they’re trying to pitch in buying a timeshare out of a nasty, roach infested hotel. I would give -ZERO stars!!!!

Impressed. No complaints. Staff was gracious, courteous, and prompt when service was requested. Rooms were updated, spacious and well appointed. My family enjoyed one day of the resorts amenities while on our Disney trip, which included, mini golf and the paddle boats. Staff were all nice. Grounds were well kept and beautiful. Am not an owner, although was treated as such for the deal that I got. Still did not buy-in after attending a "breakfast" to show me what was included in my stay (turned out to be another sales pitch which irritated me but I understand their job). But, I did opt to do a 5 day, four night special to try it again at another location.

Evacuated here during Hurricane Irma and it's a pretty good port in a storm. Power stayed on, everyone was safe.
Pros: pet friendly, suite with full sized kitchen appliances, helpful staff.
Cons: Specified I needed an accessible suite as I brought a disabled relative. Suite had no grab bars in bathroom and no other accessibility features, except for being in front of a handicapped parking spot.response / report this review -

Wonderful resort. The room was very clean and we'll stocked. The bed was comfy and the bathroom very appealing. The pots could be better, since everything we cooked stuck to them. And maybe a few more paring spaces for guest. It was still a lovely quiet stay for a nice Disney vacation.

Very nice place and our attendant was very helpful. However, our place is NOT Handicap accessible!! Table is good. A person can get legs under it while sitting in wheel chair. Kitchen, most items are very hard to reach. Bathroom: toilet is too short, shower is not roll in with a walker accessible and very hard to get in No grab bars at all, sinks are not available to wash hands, because there is a normal vanity. Bedroom. the bed is so tall we had to get a step in order to get in. Last but not least you can hear everything that is going on next door!!

This resort feels like a mass producing line. Way too busy and crazy. Customer service is horrendous. We tried to get a ride from the front desk to the in-site market and were told there were no carts available even though there were more than 10 golf cars parked right in front of us. Those were reserved for the sales people.They are only interested in selling. Music in the pool was so loud it was difficult to have a conversationI could keep going but if your definition of vacation is a relaxing and peaceful place, this is not it. On the positive side they have a lazy river and about three slides but you have to pay extra to use them.

The staff at Westgate is very hospitable. It would help you to know Spanish if you want to ask workers for something. Otherwise, just dial 12345 and customer service will be right on it, even with a follow up call to make sure you are ok. There are many pools, a water play area, playgrounds, paddle boats, mini golf putting, a train trolley, and other amenities. There is a lot to do. The rooms are nice and large for our large family, including multiple bathrooms and jacuzzi tub, kitchen, laundry, and dining table. We enjoy our stay here.

We stayed as a refuge from Irma. The place was mobbed and the check in process was chaos. We had b unit with 2 double beds. There was a small refrigerator, toaster, microwave and sink. Unfortunately there was no table and chairs. A king bed would have allowed for the table and chairs and been more comfortable. Great amenities on the property and the staff was friendly. The Internet was unusable.

The resort is nice, they offer lots of amenities; game room, lots of pools (many with entertainment and outdoor bars), bike rentals, paddle boats, full service spa, weight room, a grocery store(with a pizza place and sub shop inside), restaurant/sports bar, Ice Cream/Coffee Shop (serves Starbucks)/Pastry Shop and an on site movie theater that plays Disney movies and many more things to do. The downside is it is a timeshare, that is where the constant "SELL" attitude starts to ruin your stay. Do not sign up for the tour because it will take up your whole day and the more you say no the more people come over and they follow you out or try some other scam to make you stay. Otherwise it is a nice place and they have great deals available for just rentals (like a hotel) that at times are around $10 more than a hotel and you can get a 1bedroom(king bed), 2bath (1 Jacuzzi tub), full service kitchen with a queen size pull out couch and 30min from Disney.

The villas are nice and comfortable a movie theater in the main building, water park behind the main building with 3 slides, 1 pool, a playground and a lazy river. They Have Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner restaurants along with Starbucks a Hershey's Ice Cream Store and a Market Place. They have 14 pools and a Westgate Owners Barbecue on Monday at 12 and two Westgate Owners Breakfasts each week at pool 13 and there is a poolside bar. A fitness center and spa are at Pool 13 also. The Movie Theater shows Disney movies all week. The owners lounge at the main building on the third floor has Danishes, Popcorn, Cookies and Soda. There are paddle boats at swan lake along with other activities each day at Swan Lake. Overall as a Westgate Villa Owner the place is very classy and comfortable and I would advise any one to go there and as an owner you get gifts from Westgate.

Wasn't absolutely horrible but very close to it. When we checked in after a 12 hours drive, we get into our room and see ants all over the place. Especially in the kitchen. There were stains on the sheets. Yellow stains on a couple of our towels. The drain in the shower smelled the sewage. We had to clean our villa all week while we were here and had no housekeeping. To top everything off, it is so hard to find anyone on that speaks English!!! All workers here speak poor English. There are a couple people that can but mostly they speak Spanish. Really nice people though. Genuinely care about your needs.

Me and my family stayed here and they are no different then a hotel downtown of a city. When we got their they charged my family the price of the room that was given to me from a third party ticket place they are partnered with to attract people their on the outside but they felt to tell the third party to be upfront with us their were a lot of hidden fees and holds they put on your credit card. Also they charge you for internet but they are higher than a hotel downtown that gives it to you for free. The room we had was nice because it was renovated but the refrigerator ice machine did not work and the tv was messed up. If you book with a third party you have to go on a timeshare tour so they can try and sell you into investing in the place. And they are very good at talking you into it and lowering the price so they can get you to pay in to it and use it in the future years do not fall for it. They also lie and act as if they know someone in your profession and they lie on their children the one manager said that he had drop out of school for 3 years in the middle of nursing school. But was never a Nurse in his life and also his assistant told me his daughter arm got broke and which bone did she break if that happened to see if you are really in the profession you tell them . they play you and lie on their families and the lady that closed my family's deal was rude and stubborn. Then she slammed my discounted gift on the table and said i am done. I would never refer this company to anyone ever just buy a condo.

Some parts were nice like the water park, but our "updated" room was in a run down building. Pieces missing from the walls, towels and other things filling the main hallway every day, the elevator button says it moves to the right instead of up. Even the room was missing some very basic amenities, like garbage bags or even asimple rug on the hard time floor. We had to call resort services at least 5 times within the first hour for various things. The room they placed us in initially had broken air conditioner so they had to move us. Crossing the parking lot to go anywhere was difficult with children as they have NO crosswalks and the pedestrian paths they do have are plagued by sprinklers pointed the wrong way which results in you getting soaked.

We have been owners since 2011 and the first time we wanted to stay at Easter had to pay extra $250 per week plus our vacation weeks since we didn't own event weeks. Love all the activities for the kids including the water park. Shopping is within walking distance.

Customer service is the best. A quick call and your concern will be addressed immediately! The grounds crew are very organized.. Especially as we had a strong storm and there was a lot of immediate clean up needed so the guests could use the property amenities safely.. Power washing around the pool, miles of clean up of the sidewalks, stairs to the villas, roads, etc. Purchase an Activity Card so you can go the the gym (gym is available until late pm) play mini -golf, ride bikes and swan boats as often as you like these activities are available 9-5 pm. They have added a nice shaded dog park this year! If you use the park while it's warm, bring water and a bowl No water available. There are 3 nice metal picnic tables/bench if you need to sit.
