I absolutely love this hospital especially the labor and delivery staff I had both of my daughters here and in both deliveries it was a life and death situations but thanks to the great medical team they was on it they wanted my children and I to survive and they did everything in they’re power to make sure that we did and for that I’m forever grateful for them and god. They kick ass excuse my language and the team is so loving and caring also

The rooms are terrible! It's a dump in this day and age how do you expect someone to heal in a building that should have been torn down years ago!!

DON'T Take ANY on You Truly Love HERE!!! Worst ER I've ever seen! I have never took time out to write a review on a hospital but I Really hope & wish someone that is of power.. step in and Really do something about this place, it's HORRIBLE. I always drive the extra miles to take my family to RUSH or Children's Memorial (Lurie) because I know they'll be well cared for at those hospitals. West Suburban ER don't care about treating their patients. You can clearly tell they don't want to be there (which Unprofessional). Everyone is there for a pay check or credits they need for class! No empathy, No compassion, Longest Wait Time then any other hospital. They Leave patients in Dire need in rooms UNATTENDED for Very Long periods of time. Which is Dangerous!! Most of the staff are Rude and so is their Upper management which is why the staff don't feel "Bed Side Manner" is important here. They don't test you properly. They treat most cases the same which is; give you pain pills and send you home; which is Not treating or resolving the medical issue.

My dad is in ICU currently as we speak. They are working diligently on him and they are working hard. the nurses and dr.s are excellent. they don't mind answering any questions and are always keeping us informed. I Thank them dearly from the bottom of my heart. I think the only problem that i could say would be the furniture in the ICU is out dated and uncomfortable for families that don't want to leave their love ones. If anyone reading can afford to donate furniture pillows or blankets, I think that would be very helpful.

I spent three days in this hospital and it was a pleasant experience besides me being sick. The hospital is lacking in cleanliness and food is not tasty either. However, the most important part I give thumbs up and that is the doctors and nurses that took care of me. They were caring, knowledgeable and tried to make sure I understood what and why they were doing. I really appreciated their service. Taking care of people when they are sick, is not a easy thing to do.

This is simply not where you want to go for yourself or someone you care about. The Resident Doctors are very shady in ICU. They override the primary doctors rules as if they are gods and are like vultures to stick some unneeded or overdosed drugs in to you. They simply can not be trusted at all. Resident TingTing is a definite, absolutely must stay away from of a jerk. She is not qualified to help an animal with her rude bedside manners, ignorance, and arrogance. She wants to rule the world and can't figure out what's going on in her own head. DON"T ALLOW THIS PERSON AROUND YOU OR ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT..DANGER!!!!!!!!

I recently had my surgery done here and the whole experience was great! All the nurses I had were very helpful and made me feel comfortable during my stay. If I needed something they always came right away. The only negative thing was that I got my breakfast really late in the day but other than that I have no complaints.

One thing I do not like at all: Phoning the main number and being told to press 1 for English.

Otherwise so far it's been great. My 82-year-old mother has been at West Sub for three weeks. So far my opinion and hers are both very favorable. Clearly the care she is receiving is competent and successful for her medical need. Between doctors, nurses and others she has had contact with 15-20 people and regards them all as very kind. I see no reason to disagree.

My observation is a 50/50 or maybe 60/40 mix of black/white (no Hispanics so far, unexpectedly), but my sense is that everybody is there for business and people aren't concerned with race. I wish all the USA were that way.

Mom did not come through the emergency room. Mom was a direct admit. The referral was goofed up (not West Sub's fault) but once that was worked out they brought her in like she was a visiting dignitary.

Parking is safe and free on the Oak Park side of Austin Blvd. Parking is free but less safe on the Chicago side .
