Went in with an extremely bad case of the stomach flu or food poisoning. Was in excruciating pain for 6 hours before I went to the ER. Had to use a wheel chair to come in, had a bucket and could not even sign for myself. Spent close to 1 hour in pain waiting to be admitted. Finally got in a room. For 3 hours did not get an IV, pain management or anti-nausea medicine. The Doctor order a CAT scan and they brought in the 1 gallon drink before I was even stabilized telling me to drink it. The popped 2 veins before getting in a faulty IV. For 30 minutes I was calling for them to remove it because i was in so much pain. I had the awful head nurse tell me that it flushes and I she will have to try another. I told her to take it out and finally someone took it out. Couldn't move my wrist for 24 hours it was so swollen from the faulty IV that she insisted was good. When I told this awful nurse I wanted to see the doctor she said the doctor had already seen me. I had the director of nursing come down and asked her if that was how patients were treated in this hospital, 3 – 4 hours no IV pain not managed and awful nurses with extreme poor skills at dealing with people who are in excruciating pain. Left the hospital without getting treated and went to another ER.

Horrible Experience. I’ve been waiting for a cat scan to come back for over 4x the wait time I was told. I’ve seen the doctor once who asked three questions then told me off, and a nurse for less then a minute.

Tl;dr: If you have all day and unlimited money, this is your place. If not, don’t waste your time.

I visited the emergency room at La Grange hospital. I wish I didn't do it. For one hour and a half sitting in the bed and 7ml Motrin for my son I received $1050 plus doctor bill for $399.50. They didn't do anything special. Doctor visit was for less then 2 mins. I wonder for what is this bill. Why they are taking advantage of people and trying to get all of this money? What is that? This is redicilous!!!

came in to emergency and though we were serviced really good and very fast , we had to be transferred to a different hospital (rush) were they had the better equipment i guess but the same doctor did travel with us thank you!!.

This has been my hospital for 20 years, and I have had nothing but the most outstanding care. The doctors show a great deal of concern, knowledge and experience. I feel safe there.

Two years ago, I had a large kidney stone removed in a procedure that required holes in my back and kidney. After surgery, liquid drained from my back at an unbelievable rate for two days. During the entire time, day and night, the nurses removed and renewed the dressing constantly, sometimes within minutes. Not one of them was anything but kind and attentive.

No matter what the problem, unless I am too far away, I won't allow myself to be taken anywhere else.

My son was admitted through the emergency room last night. I can't begin to express my gratitude and appreciation. EVERY single staff member was and has been so kind and caring. The Doctors were very thorough with their examinations and diagnosis.
They all have taken such good care of Alex and of me. We are traveling from out of country and they made sure we had everything we needed.

My advice to you, if you are planning on going to this emergency room, is to just find another hospital. The staff is incredibly RUDE! I was having alot of lower back pain and decided this was the closest hospital. I gave them my name, insurance, all that jazz and requested a female doctor due to the location of the injury. I stood and waited and a nurse called me into the scale room. I told her my pain was a 10/10, and that I request to see a female doctor, I told her it hurt to sit and she told me I had to. Then denied my female Dr request and when she saw I was crying she asked if it was because of pain or because I was upset about the request denial. Obviously the pain, that's why I'm at your establishment. She handed me a pee cup and told me to go take the sample and hold onto it whail I waited for my male dr. I told her I won't do it just yet, getting on and off the toilet stresses my back. "Ok well the bathroom is right around the corner, be sure to get that done." Is all she could say after countless times of me stressing my discomfort. Anyways, I left the pee cup at the front desk and walked out. Now I'm sitting in Hinsdale ER being treated by not only a female Dr, but an all female staff. Lagrange hospital sucks, extreaty rude and inconsiderate. I will never be going back or recommending this place to anyone, instead I'll let everyone know about my not so pleasant experience.

I went to the ER with a badly infected left hand. The ER doc saw me, said, "you need a hand guy to look at that," prescribed antibiotics and sent me home. He spent about ninety seconds with me and was of no use whatsoever. For this, I got a bill--AFTER insurance discount--of about $800! I'm switching to Elmhurst Memorial.
