I was sent to BroMenn by ambulance due to a first time seizure i had at 7 A.M. i arrived at the hospital and my parents were coming down from chicago. While in the hospital the doctors asked if I had done any drugs or drank that could of caused a seizure. I said no, which was the truth (it was a tuesday at 7AM). The doctors and nurses continued to pester me and keep asking if I did any drugs or drank to cause this. Which I didnt, they just would believe me. Then they tried convincing me that I was schizophrenic because when coming out of the seizure I could only hear a high pitch ring in my ears. I am not schizophrenic nor did i have any symptoms of that at all. "Just wanna make sure we dont have a mental case on our hands." By 9 A.M. they wanted to discharge me from the hospital without running any tests, and were visibly irritated that i insisted i did not want to be discharged until my parents got there. The doctors and nurses were incredibly rude to my mom when she asked that test be done. "We are only doing this because you are causing a scene." UHH NO UR DOING IT CAUSE ITS YOUR JOB HUNNY. Terrible place, I wouldn't recommend this place even to an enemy.

Once visited for intense heart palpitations (which were previously confirmed to be life threatening from an EKG test at the ISU Clinic). I told them about what was happening with my heart palpitations and someone in the back scoffed as I continued to explain the situation. They treated me like I was lying to get drugs before they even ran any tests. They then proceeded to tell me to sit down and wait (it was not busy at all, there was no one else in line) and I waited almost 35 minutes with these heart palpitations just trying to stay calm. The rudeness an unprofessionalism continued in the examination. I was so pissed off. I have heard similar stories from friends about inadequate care. Management needs to seriously consider personality test when taking in new employees. This place sucks big time, glad I no longer have to go there.

I was mistreated by doctors, they didn't listen to me, forced medication and belief on me. It made my condition worse and now I don't trust anyone at Bromenn. I didn't get the help I needed. They also used a dirty needle on me. =( Horrible place. They gave me Bilirubin. My condition has worsen and they are abusing me. Terrible place. Obviously the Dr. didn't care about my life. I now have a disease and this hospital is to blame. This doctor abuse has stalked me to a bar secretly drugged me at my visits to the hospital and drugged me at a bar. The doctors I had lie. A disease didn't help anyone. Greedy, They will make you sick so you have to go back. I even had a supervisor/Boss threaten me and act aggressive towards me. Your a joke at this place. Medical torture, Medical malpractice, Medical harm, Pharmacological torture, Unethical human experimentation, Aggression in healthcare, and Professional abuse. I hope you can tell your entire staff to stay away from me when I visit a new doctor obviously you guys are only causing HARM and are the cause of my suicidal thoughts, these doctor are trying to get me to commit suicide. I don't ever plan on coming to this horrible hospital again, this place should get shut down. These doctors got paid and all they have done was abuse. Can you name one useful thing done? These people got paid and all they did was TONS of abuse, lie straight to my face, my parents, and everyone they talk to in my situation. I'm in my right to use self defense and I am considering carrying a pocket knife. I am a pacifist but I will use it one these doctors. I want these doctors to stay away from me its sad when you find something rare and the first people I get take it like a joke. Your reputation is horrible. Larry John Pinter, Dr Girishkumar V Dhorajia, A doctor name Christopher in the mental health facility, Even the older female counselor at the mental health facility was horrible.Her boss came in during my second visit and just had a pissed off expression on his face then later on I was attack and drugged at a bar. The faculty that approves of this type of behavior needs to be removed they are no help here at all anyone can do a better job than them. I also need to check into a hospital but i cant since i have to deal with them abusing me. YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO YOUR STAFF AGAIN, from my visit I learned your suicide are murders. I would have expected my parents to sue and obtain compensation if anything would happen to me. I am making it vary clear who is abusing me "which seems everyone" Everyone they have talked to seem to have a part in it. If you know of my sort of medical condition these people have admitted their are people looking for something like my situation. I want nothing to do with these people since they were from this hospital which shows me nothing but abuse since January 2015. Yet again I want to make sure all of my recent doctors/staff and these student doctors stays away from me all of this abuse started here and hopefully will end here. These students are learning anything useful besideds how to murder and get awaywith it. If these people wanted to take it as a joke well apparently certain people are looking for a situation like mine and I want nothing to do with anyone associated with this hospital. I knew the whole time if you guys tried to help you could find people interested in my situation but instead you sat their and abused me. If any of this ever gets settled maybe I will want to talk to these people but for now I want your staff to stay away so I can try to be happy. I SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY DISEASE, ALL OF MY ABUSE IS INTENTIONAL IF THEY SAY OTHER, WELL THEY LIE OR THEY ARE JUST INCOMPETENT. MOST LIKELY BOTH. Pathetic and useless. Do you guys write the prescription for the drugs they put in drinks and food.. I was also roofied here what a horrible place

The first two times I used the Immediate Care on Empire I felt it was just fine. However, today I was unhappy with my visit. The medical assistant and receptionist argued back and forth right in front of me in quite a vicious way. The medical assistant was very short with me, provided no instructions, huffed and even rolled her eyes at me. To top it off, the doctor forgot to fax in my script which we had discussed that I absolutely had to have today.

Went there Friday night for my 17 month old. We waited 2 hours in the waiting room. When I asked when we were going to be seen the guy acted as if it wasn't important that we were there and made us wait for another half hour. When we finally went back the nurse who took us back was super rude. The nurse who spoke to us was ok and polite. Tara I think was her name. Finally we seen the er dr and got down to the bottom of things. Dr Pitts was amazing!! Overall we spent 5 hours in the emergency department for what should of been a lot shorter!! Thanks for your help dr Pitts! But I think we are going to switch hostpitals which totally breaks my heart, because other than the emergency department Bromenn is my go to hospital! I have had all three of my kids here and truly didn't think it would change till the other night when they didn't seem to care!

This is by far the worst place to receive medical care. Their ER is horrible. I've gone in twice with a serious health issue, chest pains, and was worried about the possibility of a heart attack. Almost FOUR (4) hours later I said I was leaving because a nurse or physician had not come to talk to me. Then an employee from registration came to ask me to sign a release saying I left at my will. I went in a 2nd and final time because it was close to home and waited almost the same time when my son, who is disabled had pains in his chest and couldn't breath right. It was more than 2 hours before he was even taken into the triage room. Only a registration person, who is NOT a licensed, trained, medical professional spoke to my son, even though I told her he couldn't communicated medical information to her because HE IS DISABLED!!. Other Patients who are Admitted, have horrible wait times, even though they are in extreme pain and danger, and have to wait sometimes 2 hours in the registration waiting area because a hospitalist refuses to admit them because that hospitalist and BroMenn are waiting to hear back from the Patient's Primary Care Physician. When the Patient asks why they have to wait, although the Patient is in extreme pain, the Patient Care Coordinators says that the Hospitalist refuses to admit the Patient "because it entails more paperwork and therefore he's waiting for the Primary Care Physician to admit" [the Patient]. They also discriminate against Patients who can't read or speak English. There are only a limited amount languages available on Consent Forms although BroMenn requires each Patient to sign them at the onset of the service - which is illegal and unenforceable. They are also only preoccupied in getting as much money in payments as they possibly can from patients, which include "deposits" on each surgery even though it's not an actual co-pay or co-insurance that is "required" by the Patient's insurance companies. Therefore a Patient can be overpaying and to request a reimbursement of any over-payment takes a long time in receiving it. After a Patient requests a reimbursement of over-payment, the request has to go before a "Board" in BroMenn's headquarters in Downers Grove, IL. Therefore, putting the Patient at considerable financial inconvenience by holding their money. BroMenn's Finance Director even tells employees during meetings that they are to only speak positively about Advocate BroMenn outside of BroMenn, even though it is their protected federal right to do so. They also do not care about Patient confidentiality. For several months, they put a Patient phone in the common area of the Outpatient area, next to a chair where other members of the public could sit, and that phone was used only for the purpose of Patients speaking to the Billing Department or Patient Accounts about personal financial information, which was in violation of the HIPAA Privacy & Security laws. When employees complained about the violations, management refused to immediately remove the phone to give Patients privacy and protect their privacy by moving the phone to a secure and private location. My family and I go only to OSF for our medical care and are always treated immediately and competently. Cancer Patients at BroMenn have also complained that their care went untreated and that the physicians refused to remove certain cancerous areas, telling the Patient that they should wait and go through another treatment, promising the Patient that it was the best treatment only to find that the Patient sought a 2nd opinion from a competent physician out of BroMenn who told them that had they removed the cancerous area at the time of diagnosis, which was approximately 7 months prior, the Patient would be in remission. Patient's Cancer spread to other areas, which were nontreatable, giving her 4 months to live, leaving 4 young children under age 5 w/o their mother. This is by far the worst place to go for medical care. I will go to OSF or if time permits, go to Chicago or use LifeFlight.

Trying to get lab results to the correct physician WHO ORDERED THE TEST is a Nightmare!! According to their medical records department, no matter WHO orders the test, the results only go to the primary doc. RIDICULOUS POLICY!

As advertised! I walked in and was greeted by a very nice front desk person. The nurse promptly called me back and seated me. The "PA" was attentive to my illness and he provided me with medication and a plan to get well. I would recommend this clinic if you can not get into see your doctor and want to be treated by a friendly staff in a quick and professional manner.

Awful experience! Arrived mid morning to a flithy waiting room. My three year old had a bloody gash on his head, his shirt covered in blood and we waited a half hour just to get into triage. 2hrs later we are still not seen. When I asked the front, desk I was rudely told that she didn't know. Magically after that we were put in a room to wait some more. Writing this while in our room still waiting. Would have seen my primary Dr. but they don't do stitches. Never again will I step foot into this hospital. Scared to see how we'll be treated by the dr here.

We have had nothing but the best of experiences at BroMenn, even during some scary times. The doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers really seem to take the calling of caring for their patients seriously and are friendly and helpful. My husband had a scary ER visit that lead to an overnight observation, and I had a hip and knee replacement there. Each time we were treated with the best of care and consideration.
