This is a horrible Dr office(the one on Lafayette Pkwy). My wife transferred to it from out of state and they make her come back every two months for refills on meds that she has taken for years. They also write scripts for very small amounts of things that she needs to have on hand for episodes of diagnosed condtions. She said that she feels like her medical care and medications are being held hostage.

The billing department regularly sends bills that don't apply and fails to credit accounts for payments.

Today (a sunday) she went to pick up her called in prescriptions and they failed to call one in. She desperately needs it right now. Call led the after hours and they said too bad. Wait till Tuesday when they open back up.

    Wellstarmore like no star.

Wellstar does not care about helping people. They only care about making their pockets fatter. They wanted us to make $1000 a month in payments for having a baby in that hospital WITH insurance. Avoid this place if possible.

I had surgery there today and if I could leave 10 stars I would. Every nurse that saw me took excellent care of me; especially the nurse that did my if and preop blood work named Alana Todd, she was incredible.

This hospital is absolutely the worst hospital. My two yr old little boy has had a serious reaction to somrthing and we have waited over two hours in the waiting room the nurses r all bitches and the drs are competent stupid. The dr comes in and grabs his tongue with his fingers and says I had to check his tongue. Dumb ass that's what the lil wooden stick r for. If at all possible go to a different hospital

My son took me back to see my new, sick grand baby and when he picked the phone up to ask a nurse to open the blinds, one of the nurses said, ughh, I JUST LET HIM IN! REALLY, these people have no idea what these kids have been going through with this baby! How did Wellstar win an award? If it was up to me I would have had my baby moved immediately! I thought this hospital had gotten better, but I know now that it is worse than it was. And the waiting room is filthy and a zoo, barefoot kids running around, people watching Springer on the TV, Nurses walking in and out not saying anything, It was disgusting! Something needs to be done about this Hospital! I didn't want to even give it 1 star but it won't let you post anything unless you choose one!

I'm leaving a 2 star because they finally had someone get in touch with me to answer my questions. But only after calling and leaving a message 3 days in a row and sending 2 emails. One of them conveying how upset I was. Whoever is over the billing department needs to get the priorities in check and actually answer the phone!! Also, I was told all I owed at the time of the procedure was my insurance deductible. Only to receive a bill in the mail for more! Which is what my question was all about.

I almost didn't want to go here because of the reviews on here, but I was in so much pain I had no choice. I'm glad I didn't listen to these reviews. I had the best experience at Wellstar. Every single person I encountered, from the drs to the lady that brought me my food, was caring and super nice. I feel like the entire staff went above and beyond. Everyone had the best bedside manner and they kept me up to date and informed the entire time.

They doctors there do not care about you there at all. I was in extreme pain and the dr. came in and told me I had a virus and ordered me some fluids and zofram. I don't have insurance so He didn't even stay in the room thirty seconds. My ears are infected and I'm still not sure what else is wrong but He didn't even care.

Whenever I've gone in the wait wasn't too bad. The staff is decently kind and friendly but I wouldn't say they were over-the-top friendly. More like, doing their job friendly.

Worst emergency room experience ever. Get some help! You are obviously understaffed or else the staff you do have doesnt realize that it isnt wise to leave a dehydrated person clutching their stomach and moaning in pain waiting for almost two hours to see a doctor. Weak. These must be the people that barely got through medical school. Bottom of the barrel.

Update: we never even got called back the receptionist is a rude pig.

They had us wait over 2 hours. Brought us to the back and waited 45 minutes for someone to come in and say my foot isn't broken. I dropped a large roll of butcher paper onto my foot and it is black. They said I will lose my toenail to take Motrin and discharged me. The room was dirty with what appeared to be blood on the curtain and the nurses seemed not to care. The best part was the receptionist. She was sweet for the 5 minutes I saw her. That was all. Its the closest so I've been here before and been misdiagnosed on several occasions. Don't go here if possible.

It is a one star review because there is not a "no stars" option. I was transported to the ER in Lagrange due to an allergic reaction. I have very good insurance. That insurance, when properly billed, always pays and pays on time. For whatever reason, the billing department at West Georgia (now West Star) doesn't seem able to process claims accurately or timely. A year plus later and numerous phone calls (can't even count the number of times I've called) and my insurance company tells me that a claim has never been filed. For Emergency care avoid this place like the plague. Go to Newnan. It's an entirely different experience.
