Really great brunch spot, with nice vibes. The iced coffee was alright. But the Shrimp and grits were amazing. They have all the right things with sausages and fried okra (which were perfect).
I really liked this place being my first time here. The food and service was excellent. The only complaint would be the food is pricey and the wait is ridiculous as hell. We were told it would be an hour wait then it turned into almost 2 hrs. Luckily we were able to walk around the are at the local shops. I would try this place only during a time and day it's not so crazy. Overall I'd recommend 🐣🍳🐖🐤🥞
The food has been phenomenal every time I've eaten here. The most recent item I've gotten from the menu was Georgia Benedict with Fried Green Tomatoes and it was nothing short of outstanding. The staff is so friendly and you're able to get coffee while you wait for a table. If you're with a group you're most likely going to wait if you come during a peak period but there are places to sit both inside and outside.
Really good food but when it's full it's pretty loud. We had to speak loud for us to hear each other at our table.
Omelette with Gouda is the best we've had and the pancakes are fluffy and delicious. Coffee is oh so good and they sell it here.
Our server, Rachel, was attentive and kept our coffee filled.
So other than the loud atmosphere this is a nice breakfast place.
My group was visiting Atlanta and we were referred to this place. It didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious! The shrimp and grits was awesome. The garlic grits and omelette was really good. As were the sour cream pancakes. The spiced butter is delicious and adds a wonderful flavor. I just wish establishments served pure maple syrup especially one this good. I think I'm going to start carrying some with me. :-D That would have really set the pancakes off and put them on a whole other level. All in all we loved it. And were stuffed as we left!! We'll definitely visit again when in the area.
Love this place! Atmosphere is great, food is always delicious and service is always wonderful. My favorite brunch item is the Tofu Scramble - I sub the tofu with egg whites and get it wrapped in a wheat tortilla. Delish! & I never leave without a cappuccino to go ☕️
Visiting from DC. I must say this place is amazing. I'm certain there will be a line but it's worth the wait, even if it's over a hour. I personally ordered the salmon cake breakfast platter with a waffle and side of bacon. Trust me I'm a foodie and I'm a tough rater. Attention manger please open in DC
Loved it. This was a great place to have breakfast. Once you get past the hostess (person who showed us to our seats) with the unfriendly attitude, it's clear sailing. The restaurant has unique touches in its decor. Y
Also, you can eat outside if you like. The atmosphere (w/one exception) is welcoming and open. The food was great. And, the waitress and server were personable and polite. I truly enjoyed West Egg and look forward to returning for another great breakfast.
the brunch here is unforgettable. the menu has a little bit of everything, and the drinks, specials, and desserts are all very creative. the biscuits are perfect, soft, and flaky. the Milky Way latte is even more delicious than it looks!! (it's very sweet, it could honestly be dessert.) the fried green tomatoes are some of the best I've ever had and compliment the eggs and biscuits perfectly. the gravy truly tastes homemade and the experience was overall wonderful. this restaurant is adorable. there's an awesome little photobooth inside, though it was broken when we went. it even had an F. Scott Fitzgerald quote framed on it, to go with the name of the restaurant! be ready to wait - we showed up around 1:30pm on a Sunday and had an hour and a half wait. definitely worth it though and I can't wait to go back!
The food is good enough for the pricing. The service is sub part at times. Also not all staff know what they are offering. I was offered fresh black berries as an oatmeal topper, they are cooked in a syrup sauce, so not fresh to me. Also tried to call ahead before pickup they did not answer the phone but we're open.
Went here on a Saturday morning. When we drove past we could see lots of people waiting. We went inside and as we were about to put our names on the waitlist with the hostess, we noticed people leaving the bar area. We asked if we could sit there and she said sure. She cleaned the two spots for us and we got seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly. I ordered the Black Bean Cakes and Eggs with Garlic Grits and my fiance ordered The Blue Plate. Both of us very much enjoyed our meals. The black bean cakes had amazing flavor and the salsa and sour cream really set it off. The only downside to this place is that you can't order cocktails before a certain time. They have a menu with lots of great breakfast/brunch cocktails but if you go too early you can't indulge. Since I couldn't get a cocktail I opted for the Spicy Hot Chocolate (not sure if this is the exact name) and it was delicious. Service and food were great and we would definitely return.
Went here with two friends because the menu looked promising, but after being seated, waiting 10 minutes, seeing multiple other tables being greeted before us, we were finally greeted. Waitress promptly tried to get our orders before getting our drinks. When the food runner brought our pimento cheese he tossed it and ran without asking if we needed anything like plates or the such. After the pimento cheese we decided to go elsewhere. Overall the pimento cheese was good, but the service was lacking.
Not a fan, too many time we've eaten at the counter and had to watch someone on staff walking on the counter top right in front of us. Food is good but it more often comes out differently from what we ordered. Given, they are busy and on a wait most days so they must be doing something right, just not when we're the customer. Better breakfast options in the area, just not quite as trendy.
The food was great - the environment even better. The staff is amazing and the whole vibe of the place was great. Good for young and old. I will definitely be visiting again when I go back. Note: the prices were reasonable.
