Amazing! Travelled pulling a small camper on the weekend before Thanksgivings. The grounds were full but they had a cancellation and got us in. We had 163A and it was perfect!! The check-in was simple and efficient, the staff was awesome and the site was great! Right next to the playground with a gas grill and picnic table and fire ring.
Our family has been coming here for the past 7 yrs and until this yr, 2017, we have renewed our Stone Mt Plus memberships each year. We love camping here. Highly recommend it!
Beautiful campground. You do need additional transportation outside the campground. Can't drive golf cart or use a shuttle to get around park.
Campground was pretty but yet is lacking the family atmosphere it should. Ladies that run the campstore kept a rude attitude to customers. The campsites were all clean inviting. The prices seemed overpriced. This will be our last time camping here.
This beautiful park has so much to offer for anyone visiting it.
Wether you want to camp out or have your own RV, this place will accommodate anybody's needs.
Beautiful campground. We chose to camp somewhere else because we didn't think we would like camping in a yurt for 2 days (park minimum). When we toured the campgrounds and saw the Beautiful Yurts, we instantly regretted out decision!! I will return to experience the Yurts!
Not bad priced. Figure one night in a 3 star hotel is the cost of a yellow water and electric serviced campground. Very pleasant, relaxing and I have to add. Minimal bug population and no pesty insects. In Chicago you'd be eaten alive. Here? Few mosquito and biting flies but very manageable.
This is beautiful campground for tent camping or RVs. I highly recommend the yurts - nice accommodations and fantastic views of the lake and the mountain! There are some amazing lake views throughout the campground. There are picnic tables, fire rings and grills at each camp site as well as electric water hookups. The restroom and shower facilities are well maintained. The pricing is very reasonable and they offer discounts of Stone Mountain park admission for campers as well.
The tent place #259 user who left on 4/2/2017 was so rude and terrible. A big grown man and his son took a piss on the lake side. I couldn't beleive that such an educated grwon person could do that where every one is using and my husband and I will pitch a tent. They occupied all the place before we arrived so we had to pitch ours on the slope side. They used 3 grills and 3 tables including a table which is supposed to share with 257 user. What a great gift they gave us on last day, a pee was so amazing gift!!!!
DO NOT GO BEFORE APRIL 1st THE ATTRACTIONS ARE CLOSED!
This is a well kept park with plenty of amenities. Nothing is free so get out your wallet. They should tell you when calling to make reservations that there's a 15.00 fee to get into the park, There is a 10hp boat motor limit on the lake and if the park attractions are open when you'll be there. As a first timer I didn't know any of these things and told the lady on the phone I had never been there before. My 10yo was disappointed as was I to basically walk around and look at all of the closed attractions. We met several families that felt the same. We visited in a motor home and stayed in the camp ground which is nice but again if you are there off their sesson you will have a hard time getting to the few things to see that are on the other side of the park. The park check in lady (twin) told us to call a cab.
Beautiful place , I went there with my 25 year old son. He has always wanted to go there. We both love this little piece of heaven . We will definitely go back.

The Campground is beautiful and well maintained. The sites are a bit backwards for newer units, choose your spot carefully if possible. We were told that we got the last spot, which was ok, but not comfortable. Four more comfortable sites around us were never used in five nights, which makes you wonder who's in charge of reservations. Nonetheless, it's breathtakingly beautiful and having the park nearby, we had a blast
