The kids enjoyed themselves the food was wonderful only thing I didn't like was how long it took them to prepare my food, I ordered like an hour ahead of another family but received my food 30 min after them.
Delicious burger and beer! Others in my party had sushi, and they said it was delicious. I would also recommend the lobster and spinach dip appetizer.
Amazing views, great food, great deals, great service. I've been here countless times and love taking guests from out of town in. There's a cool vibe too with it being in the park. The whole "if it rains it pours" thing doesn't happen that often though, legally you can only have one "special" a day and they usually don't choose to do that one. Half Off Wine Wednesday are awesome and half off sushi after 9. I've done both countless times and fully recommend. It's in walking distance of everything in midtown.
Great place to hang out for a few hours. Open seating with cool separated nooks for a trendy vibe. Good beer selection, Asian inspired dishes are signature, but there are other options too. Service is friendly and knows their menu. Will be returning again.
Really good marg & food. Baked oysterswould not recommend. Horrible service; wasn't even crowded. Verdict still out because of the really good king salmon bowl & tacos. I want to go back to try the sushi but hopefully service will be better the next time. Worst service EVER.
Went for lunch on a Sunday around 12:30. It wasn't overly crowded. There were 4 of us. Ordered drinks, a couple of apps and entrees. Waited like 30 minutes for our apps. The waitress said sorry for the wait but the kitchen wasn't prepared for the crowd. Finally got our entrees after being there over an hour. I had fish tacos and they were incredibly dry and overcooked. My husband has shrimp and chose the tater tots after asking the waitress which were better tots or fries. She said tots. They had way too much garlic in them. We should have been told before we sat down that it would be a long wait for our food. We should have also been compensated for our apps or something. Won't be going back!
We had the chicken and shrimp baskets which were definitely worth their weight!! They offer a Carolina Reaper sauce for the chicken tenders if you're looking for a burn, but their buffalo sauce was delicious as well. Shrimp is jumbo sized and fried light and crispy. Delicious entrees, sides, and desserts! Our server was very helpful and friendly. The open seating might be a intimidating at first because half of the tables were reserved when we got there but the outdoor area is very pleasant. Dogs are welcome.
Food and atmosphere: Very good
Service: Okay
We had to change our order twice because apparently there were several "new items" on the menu that were unavailable. It would have been nice to know before hand what's actually on the menu.
Also once our food came, our server was nowhere to be found to check on us to make sure our order was correct. It wasn't until my girlfriend was about halfway done with her meal before I was able to ask our server for some hot sauce for my burrito bowl.
Once we had everything we needed, the experience was very nice. Just a little more attention would have been greatly appreciated.
We've enjoyed the atmosphere in the past for festivals and the live music while being outside with a great view of the park is terrific. The downside that will keep me from coming back is the restroom situation. They are disgusting and after you've waited in line forever. This has been better in the past when they added nice temporary trailers instead of the gross porta potties for guys to share. If I was a guy and not worried about a clean restroom, then I'd probably hang out here quite often. The parking for events has also been a challenge as well. It's a bummer, because it could be a really fantastic place to hang out. Oh, and the food we've had hasn't been great either. If the restroom situation is corrected and I knew about it, then I'd return often.
DJing events here is always fun! The tent area is large, open, and perfect for dancing, while the garden area is romantic, green, and beautiful. Our favorite part is how bustling everything is in the background and at Piedmont Park as couples wed in peace in the Willow trees of the garden. So magical.
Great experience!! Just recently attended an event and found the staff extremely professional. The food was very good. I had a special request and they went out of their way to accommodate. I highly recommend this establishment!!!
It is a trap!!
This place has so much potential - that among a myriad of other things make this place not worth your time. If you are one of the people that give this place 5-stars, you're probably OTP and stumble upon this place because of the location OR your friend that visited Piedmont Park "that one time" told you about it.
-They offer $1 beers when it rains but are magically "out" of most all tap beers when it rains
-The events are a complete waste of money. You'll play $35 for a ticket, which gives your the opportunity to purchase their $5 - $8 beers. Bait and switch.
-Service is slow and food is average at best
I've given this place several chances and am constantly disappointed. And someone should loose their job after that Falcons debacle what a complete joke.
This is the one place I bring all of my friends when we go to Atlanta! Perfect for date nights cast under the glow of the Atlanta skylines, Sunday morning brunches and drinks, and an amazing crew of friendly staff.
Food to try: sushi, tacos, and amazing beer (yes it's food!). (And the amber is my favorite)
Enjoy the huge parties they throw here, you will feel the personal level of attention they strive to create.
I love every time I the spires of park tavern!
