Stay with them and feel like home -
I went to Chicago due to a business trip and stayed for 4 days at the Welcome In Manor B&B. Mell and Jimmy attended to all my needs, they were very attentive. I enjoyed the variety of breakfasts they offered and the free shuttle service in the morning to the convention center was something I appreciated. Mell knows many anecdotes and stories about the city and the neighbourhood.
This place is Amazing!!! Mell and Angie were very nice. They make you feel welcomed and the atmosphere is so relaxing. Their were very attentive to our needs. The food was very good, something different every morning. The rooms are very detailed to the character of the house We Loved That!!!! We love original woodwork. Everything about this place was lovely. The art work and artefacts are breath taking. We enjoyed every moment and will be returning with more guest. As long as this place is around we will be here. No more hotels lol
This place was fantastic. The history and the atmosphere was amazing
Mell, Angie and Jimmy are perfect hosts. This is my second 10 day stay at the Welcome Inn Manor and I couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy Chicago while visiting my daughter and son-in-law. The inn is gorgeous, the breakfasts homemade by Mell are an excellent way to start the day, and the beds are comfortablewhat more could you ask for?
My husband and I stayed for four nights while I was in town for a conference. The house is a treasure, the food was delicious, the hosts are amazing and hospitable. We will be back the next time we come to Chicago.
Extraordinary place to stay. Well keep historic setting with a high quality staff that provides an unforgettable experience.
I thought the manor inn was pretty cool and historic. However, I visited Chicago for medical purposes. I was about to go under a serious 7 hour operation. It says on their page that they give complimentary drop off service to the University of Chicago and other destinations. So we get up at 5 A.M to leave so the guy can take us to the hospital then says "oh you may want to download Uber while you're at the hospital waiting on your son". It's only a 7 minute drive away and they stated that they would provide a shuttle ride prior to our visit so my Mother can be with me during the day. My Mom and I get to our room and I did not even have a bed to sleep in all that was prepared for me was a couch. I was not returning there after being discharged from the hospital to sleep on a couch before we take a flight back home. I would have never stayed there if I knew I was not going to receive a bed. Nice people but we were very misrepresented.
Amazing host and homey environment with lots of history.
I LOVEEEEEEEE this place. My first experience was this weekend for a retreat for my sorority. I stayed here a couple days and Id Absolutely recommend it to others. So clean so homely i cannot think of one bad thing to say. This place is a gem!
This is a cozy bed and breakfast with a nostalgic Bronzeville feel. Located near public transportation, you are 10 minutes from major attractions and President Obama's home.
Welcome Inn Manor Bed & Breakfast was amazing! The owners are so so sweet! Very friendly and easy going people. The place was just as beautiful on the inside as the outside. My friends and I felt super comfortable while staying there & of course, the breakfast was delicous! The owners, maintenance guy (Jimmy) and hotel/house itself definitely helped make this vacation enjoyable. & we were also only 15 min from the city and they provided rides, which helped a lot. One of the best vacations so far and Welcome Inn Manor Bed and Breakfast made it that much better! Don't look elsewhere, book here!!
Outstanding service from the inn keeper and staff. 5 stars across the board. Very close to the L (Green line stop at 47th Street). Food and friendlyness is top notch. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Chicago for business or pleasure.
