Soooooooo pushy. Be prepared for bait and switch. Used to love shopping here but they have turned a den of sales sharks. Called ahead and was told to come down they had what we were looking for in stock. When arrived said it had just sold but would be glad to help us custom order piece for 3 times the cost and would only take 3 months to arrive. No thanks. Kids needed to use the bathroom. Got hounded by 4 different sales people the 100 ft we walked asking us "what brought you in today". Must be sales line they are trained to use. Had to tell them we had already been helped. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Overpriced and desperate sales people. No thanks

Furnished our apartment with pieces from the Clearance outlet and love it all. It has held up great, even with a dog, and lots of use. The delivery people were timely, kind, and professional. Also love how much Wayside does for the community, and the food at their cafe! Will definitely be back!

Our student organization at Kent State has loved getting involved with the community events put on by this business such as the free movies/popcorn at the civic theatre and the free Wellness Fair! It’s always nice seeing businesses give back and reach out to the community.

Bought a couch on 11/6, I had to delay pickup until the 27th because I was moving. The sales person was helpful. Went to pick it up, inspected it, all was good. The guy in the warehouse, flopped it pillow side down scuffed it, got it home to find the scuff. Called the ware house, the "manager" Robert said I had to bring it back.
I had asked by disabled brother to borrow his trailer, so I had to make 2 trips out there and no compensation or effort to make it right. I will not be shopping here again and I would strongly suggest that you avoid this retailer as well.response / report this review -

Love this store, bought from here several times and have been pleased with quality, selection, and sales! I got an 8% discount because I paid cash, don't forget to ask! So excited just bought my entertainment center today, can't wait til it's here!

I don't have a lot of good things to say about Wayside, other than their prices really can't be beat. You walk in and are immediately hounded by sales folks who seem to follow you everywhere you go. We bought our entire living room furniture here and had a major mix-up with the recliner we bought. It ended up taking us 5 months to receive the proper recliner. The manager at the warehouse promised us free delivery and a $100 gift card. We did receive the free delivery but was sent a $50 gift card. It was a great gesture to be offered both for the mix-up, but when we went in to talk about the other $50 that was missing, we were basically brushed off as if we were lying. We were told "Wayside hasn't been in business for 100 years by giving out free money to those who come in and ask for a different amount than what was given." They finally said they would honor it if we picked something out and brought it up to the counter. We picked out bookends, took them up to the counter and was told that they would only take the $50 gift card but would give us 10% off of the purchase. Needless to say, we are done with Wayside. We purchased thousands of dollars worth of furniture and was treated like a bunch of hillbilly liars. They can keep their empty promises, incorrect orders, and crappy customer service. Buyer bewareit's not worth the prices for the hassle.

Nice selection, but does it bother anyone else that 95% of their pricing ends with $_99.99 yet I was advised that they don't haggle when I attempted?
Pride is a really expressive attribute.

Nice locally owned furniture store. Great selection in store, can personalize orders with choices of several options of custom coverings, tons of staff to help when needed, customer appreciation events, and decent prices too.

Wonderful visit to showroom, purchasing experience, and delivery! Shelley greeted us at the door and we told her we were looking for a dresser. We knew which one we wanted to see and she did not pressure us to choose a more expensive piece. She made sure to find it with us in the show room so we could see the quality for ourselves. We decided to purchase it and Shelley set us up with a delivery date. The delivery men were both extremely kind and courteous and fast and efficient. Our dresser arrived in perfect condition. Great experience with Wayside and though it was a bit of a drive for us, well worth the trip!

Good selection, nice staff, no issues there. But if you need to have anything delivered you should probably just rent a truck. Otherwise you'll need to set aside an entire day. They can't schedule a time in advance. That would be rocket science. Nope, plan on an entire day to wait for them to drop off your stuff. Oh, if that entire day doesn't work out, make sure you cancel two days in advance or there will be a fee! Well done people.

We've purchased quite a bit of furniture from Wayside over the years. They have a good selection and fair prices. Their parking is lousy and the sales staff is hit or miss. The delivery charge always bothered me, but you're going to pay for deliver one way or another.
Overall it's the best furniture store around for mid range to higher end stuff.response / report this review -

The selection is excellent and can be suitable for any budget or type of furniture. For example, the main showroom has high-end pieces and if budget is on the lower end, they have an outlet that also features and excellent collection. The prices are also comparable to any online vendors. I searched for many of furniture stores and this one is probably the best in Akron, OH for most of your furniture needs. Also, check out the Amish furniture room and grab a complimentary coffee! The saleswoman also took her time to help me decide and I felt like I was her only customer! Great experience!

Service was okay, selection was less than ideal for the things we were looking for, but we did purchase a crib which should end up being free after we send in the baby's birth certificate and get reimbursed. We also bought a mattress that seems great! They have a clearance warehouse as well with a lot of furniture priced "as is". I did cringe when a child sat in a recliner ($319 as is) and the back completely fell off. Yikes.
