Nice Chevy dealer. Good selection. Friendly staff.
I just purchased a beautiful certified pre-owned 2017 Chevy Malibu from Gene King on 10/31. As soon as I got it off the lot, the tire pressure light came on. My vehicle had 24 psi in all 4 tires. I filled the tires up on my own, but this did let me know that the car was not inspected before sale. A day later I get a message on my dashboard saying “tighten gas cap.” 2017 Malibu’s don’t have gas caps. After work that same day, my check engine light came on. I took the car into the shop, they give me a loaner and tell me they’ll contact me when they know what’s wrong with the vehicle. I later find out that something is wrong with the cars evap system and that the part needed is on back order. They ordered the part but have no idea when it will be in. I have now been without my new car for a total of 5 days. I had the car for only 2 days before I had to take it into the shop. This has been a horrible experience thus far. Had this car been inspected previous to it’s sale, this issue could’ve been avoided. I feel like I can’t get anyone to take ownership of this issue and I have to call and check on my vehicle multiple times a day because their service center is not being communicative at all! Very displeased!
Receptionist is way worse than used to be. Argumentative, unprofessional, doesn't listen to what caller needs, wont answer simple basic questions, says (YELLS) IM JUST THE RECEPTIONIST. In the end, she had the answer. No initiative. Not helpful AT ALL. Brandon in Service is always polite and helpful. He is a bright spot at Voss. UPDATE: VOSS remedied the situation quickly. TY Voss!!
Purchased a 2014 GM Certified used truck less than a year ago. Found out during the heavy rains recently that there is a leak in the seal around the windshield that had clearly been shoddily repaired at some point before. The point where the leak was occurring was very obvious, but according to the service department “might still require a few hours of diagnostics.”
Long story short, they informed me that I needed a new windshield to the tune of $500. When asked about the warranty on the truck, they told me that glass is not covered through GM, which I can understand. When asked if there was anything Voss would be willing to do to stand by the product they sold or by their customers, I was told that there was nothing.
Poor service, poor pricing, and poor customer retention. Will not be returning.
I've bought three new vehicles here and I'm really happy with the dealership . My salesman was Jeff Folan and he is absolutely wonderful to work with !
I honestly haven't written a public review of value before, but since I got no response from their direct service email I figured hey, let everyone know what people probably already know!
I brought my vehicle in for two things, one leaking power steering lines and two electrical issues causing lights to flicker. They identified and confirmed the power steering lines as an issue and said all three need to be replaced, and it would take 11.5 hours (mechanic said he could do it in 8) and it would cost 1600$. I couldn't afford it and took the job on myself, listening to their suggestions I bought all three lines for 135$ and a couple other tools and fluids for 200$ total. I then proceed, without any prior knowledge of power steering systems, to replace the two bad lines and replace a perfectly good one ON THEIR RECOMMENDATION! It took me 6 hours, and that is with a 30 minute break, so I feel completely screwed! They did some troubleshooting on my electrical issue and fixed a bad idling of my engine, and charged me almost 90$ for a "Decarbonization treatment" which is essentially spending 5$ on a can of carb and choke cleaner and wiping down the throttle body (which they didn't do or at least they are so good it they didn't remove any dust/dirt from the part on the outside or the connecting pieces to the throttle body)
I will NEVER take my car there again, and I am a VERY VERY (and apparently stupid) loyal customer who hoped help would be given to a customer who not only bought their car there, but also brought it back time and time again only to get screwed when I don't have their warranty. Thanks Voss, for making sure I think twice before ever purchasing a car again from you guys!
Service was relatively quick and painless. Had a front license plate mount installed on my car, which went fine and was reasonably priced. However they forgot to actually put the license plate on the mount they just installed lol
I find them to be honest, other than some other dealership, I once used. And Voss Village Cadillac, always gives me great service.
A great shout out and thumbs up to the staff at Voss Chevrolet for coming through with all their promises and taking good care of my mom. I'm over 700 miles away and she is VERY happy!! I highly recommend.
My local mechanic told me I needed an expensive repair on my wife's Chevrolet Malibu. He suggested we try a Chevrolet dealer as the part was covered under a longer warranty due to the frequent failures of this part but there was no recall. He said he had good luck getting dealers to cover the repair partially or completely. The service folks here were terrible to my wife ( I was out of town when this all happened). They wouldn't even discuss the possibility of whether they would get Chevroler to cover part of the repair and charged us three times what my local garage charged to diagnose the problem. They were unhelpful and unwilling to even talk about a solution other than to pay for the repair. Going to stick with my tried and true local mechanic. If I need a dealer for a manufacturer recall I will look elsewhere. First and last experience with these folks
Voss Chevrolet is the WORST dealership in the Dayton area!! Their sales staff only cares about money in their pockets, they sell you a car, there is no follow thru, no help with your new vehicle, no effort whatsoever to deliver a great buying experience. Voss Chevrolet truly does NOT care about their customers or delivering great customer service at all.
Ohhh and don't get me started on their service department either!! They ripped me off the other day, doing work on my car that I never authorized nor gave my permission for it to be done nor did it need to be done. When I spoke with one of the managers Greg Thomas, he defended the technician, instead of trying to make right for what they had done. They totally took advantage of me, racked up a huge bill and were unapologetic or anything in the huge error that they made. I will NEVER take my car to Voss Chevrolet's service department again!! They are incompetent, have absolutely horrible customer service and are incredibly rude!!
I am going to report Voss Chevrolet to the Better Business Bureau and call GM and file a formal complaint against Voss Chevrolet.
Readers of these reviews be warned about Voss Chevrolet, save yourself the headache and hassle of dealing with a terrible dealership. I will NEVER do dusiness with Voss Chevrolet again.
One last thing, their phone system leads to further aggravation as the lady just transfers you time and time again to voicemail, which leads to multiple call backs, where it is painstaking to actually get someone on the line to talk to.
Consumers beware of this swindling dealership, they are not to be trusted with your business, unless you don't care about getting burned, then by all means, go to them and they will totally screw you over.
Final review, if I could have done lower than a 1 star, I would have. Voss Chevrolet is sooooooo bad, I would have given them a big fat zero, if that had been an option. They don't even deserve the 1 star rating.
Unorganized. Not ready for service. No loaner available. Had to spend extra time with car rental agency and then replaced my truck with a Chevy Sonic. Need to take better care of customers. Always provide a better vehicle than the customer owns.
Went there for a factory recall for my wife's perfectly running Chevy Cruz. They reprogrammed the ECU to comply with some new emissions standards. The next day, the car started having some issues while driving. Several check engine codes showed up, so I had my wife drive it back to Voss to have them look at it. They took the coils off and found a corroded spring. They then told my wife that car was not driveable, and she would have to pay $564 to fix a spring. Of course they insisted that they should replace all the spark plugs, springs, and coils. After speaking to the technician there, he said it had to be a coincidence that the coil had failed, and none of the work would be covered by Chevrolet's awesome 5 year warranty. After taking out a loan over the phone, my wife had her car fixed. We had the price lowered by not having the corrosion protection applied to the coil springs. I don't feel that someone should have to pay for this protection because Chevrolet produced a flawed system. I will never own another Chevrolet again, and I would not recommend anyone voluntarily take their car in for a warranty repair unless required to do so. Voss Chevrolet took advantage of us. I hope they sleep well at night.
