Crap selection. Staff seems ok, dont seem to talk much. Could have been an off day.

Eclectic shops with interesting items. Sales people were friendly and knowledgeable.

You got to love Von's; it's not just comics but music, books, used books, beads, posters & all that for a dorm room. Huge back issue selection, sometimes a bit pricey but mostly fair, doesn't turn over much. They have a great current issue selection & carry many indy books (not just DH, Image, IDW etc) like SLG & Fantagraphics type stuff. Impressive selection of tpbs & gns (hard to find stuff also) & the everyone at the counter is pretty cool. Whenever I'm in town I like to stop in just to feel the vibe of the place. Last time I didn't get any issues but I did pick up the new Sword cd; the music/dvd dept shares space with the comics & it works. Lovely indy store feel. And don't forget Harry's Chocolate Shop on teh corner for you over 21 geeks out there.
