Vintage urban Burger bar with quality creative fixed up beef items, check out my photos of them, mostly $8-13 for burgers, they're worth the price - two-handed, never frozen meet, original sauces, and variety of mouth watering options from grilled cheese buns to mac-n-cheese topping. There sandwiches and hotdogs too but I'm too stuck on the big boy meals to try them. Service is typically good, can be timely to very slow, definitely more of a relaxed evening place than a quick bite which is perfect for trying new brews, watching the game, and catching up with friends.

Love the atmosphere! Great food. Menu items are unique and very tasty. Beer selection for me is usually Bud Light, but my boyfriend enjoys the different craft beers they offer! We are repeat customers for years!

VERY disappointed with DT Kirby's. My husband and I planned to eat dinner there and watch the Cubs game, we knew it would be a fun atmosphere to be in during the game. We walked in, asked for a table and despite there being an EMPTY table, we were told they do not have room for small parties. The hostess told us she could take our name and phone number and call us if something opened up. Uh, no thank you. Our money is good enough on the many, many other times we have eaten or drank there, but it's not good enough to get us a table to watch the Cubs first playoff game of the season. Well, thank you DT Kirby's for showing us how we rate, you will be happy to know you will not have to worry about turning us away again, we will NOT be back.

It's a great place for bar food! I go there regularly and I've been very pleased with every visit. Friendly and casual atmosphere. Throughout the day it's family friendly. Evening and weekends are pretty packed but seating is still easy to get and food is fairly quick for the amount of people. Staff is very friendly and helpful!
Among my friends and I a go to Burger is the Bacon egg burger which is delicious! Philly sandwich is also really good, I haven't tried anything I don't like.
There is a great selection of beer that's constantly rotating. Their full bar allows you to get any drink you want.
Overall it's always a great experience, fast and friendly service. Worth coming back.response / report this review -

LOVED this place!!!
The food is ranked by rolls of paper towels --- which means how messy it might get. :-)
We had the mushroom Swiss burger --- a 4 roll burger. It lived up to it ranking!
The burger was delicious! Our only suggestion to --- unless you like your burgers pink --- go with well done.
The ambiance is way too cool!
Wait staff is efficient and friendly.

Stumbled across this jewel on a quest for a local lunch spot. What a great find. Fantastic selection of drinks and great service. Can't wait to try the food.

The place is absolutely amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful with the menu for my first time being there and from out of town! Very clean! Fun atmosphere where it is fun but laid back at the same time. A couple a others recommended the chicken BLT '09. I didn't know what to expect! It was simply amazing and the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. I would highly recommend DT Kirby's to any and the BLT Chicken sandwich '09 is a must! I am glad I wonder into there! I've been coming to this establishment for years and I thoroughly enjoy it. Great prices on their food and you will be stuffed afterwards for a while. Service has always been slow, so don't expect to get your beer within 10 Minutes. Great place none the less, especially when Don is here mingling with everyone. If you're a fan of Chicago sports, then this is the place to be in Lafayette for all of the games!

I've had nothing but great experiences here. The food selection is mostly burgers and such but they are unique and delicious. It will be a feat to devour a burger and a generous mountain of fries here. The selection of beer is excellent and the staff is courteous. The place is clean, and comfortable.

Stopped in at 1:00am. Food was excellent. I had the pocket burgers fried mushrooms and fires with a side each of chill and the best mac n cheese. My girlfriend shared all this food and it was more than enough for two. Big portions and absolutely delicious. The have such a good selection you will find something you like. Go!

The food is the definition of amazing. Their "awesome sauce" is unique and really adds to the experience. If the owner is around you are in for a treat! Ask about how the location used to be the alley, it has a neat story. Also, I promise the bathrooms aren't real port-a-johns. (just go, and you'll see what I mean)

Great people, great pub style food, and sports environment = very, positive experience!
This place is my go to for bar food (my cheat meal), some local drafts, and catching some sports. Why?
STAFF - does a great job at reading their clients, offering various choices, and personal faves. DT the owner can often be found walking through checking in on everyone, great with kids (still undefeated in juice shots with the kids).
FOOD / BREW is what you expect from pub style but with some nice local twists and Chi-town flavor. Personal favorite is the breakfast type burger with some fried mushrooms or pickles. The latest brunch menu is good too.
ENVIRONMENT - If you're a Chicago fan, you'll feel right at home and if you're just passing by, come hang out the locals in a Cheers type place. We make friends every time we have to sit at the bar because the place is packed or just want to catch all the games at once.
Not the every day place is you're trying to watch what you eat, but definitely a cheat treat.response / report this review
