Exceptionally classy venue with a close up and uninterrupted view of the beach. Done with your five star meal, or need to step outside to take a call? Find yourself on the beach in about ten paces. This is an excellent location for a private event.

luxurious for the employeesas well as tbeconservative New England theme in decor. in house spa, food and accessibility to the beach and boardwalk make it a great short stay. short because it is rather expensive after you add everything up.

I had a perfect unhurried lunch here. There was a good selection of food, my Cobb salad was delicious. Enough craft beers to choose from and my companions enjoyed their wine. The pace of service was perfect, attentive and polite. All in all an excellent lunch.

The room had a nice view and I loved the staff that worked there as they were very helpful. It did rain the weekend we went so it was hard to enjoy ourselves but shutters on the beach made our visit much better

Shutters hosted Kristi Bufton and Peter Manning's wedding November 4th, 2017. The event could not have been better! Location was picturesque with the sun setting behind the ceremony on the second level terrace. Bride & Groom looked spectacular, wedding party absolutely beautiful. Reception was intimate in the perfect room overlooking the boardwalk. Staff was exceptional from start to finish with exceptional food and service. Could not have been more perfectly executed. Kudos to the Staff and the Bride and Groom for making it the "Perfect Day".

I used to come here all the time . My girlfriend was working here. She lives back to Europe and this is the first time since a while. Still loving it. Great food and stuff is so helpful and so friendly

We went for the lobster brunch at the restaurant. The view is absolutely beautiful. Lobster crab cakes and lobster Benedict we're delicious. I left very happy and sufficiently full of lobster.

My friend booked the reception for her daughter's baptism here. I've got to say - it's pretty amazing. Staff is thoughtful and attentive. Food was spot on and interesting.
I've no idea what it cost but, on an absolute basis, it was an amazing event.

It's a hotel that's has a restaurant named One Pico. It has a ritzy feel. It's clean, open and fresh. Went for a birthday lunch. they have Beautiful shutter windows that look out toward the beach and catch the breeze. Celebrities known to be spotted here as well from time to time.

A great place to see and experience the quintessential LA (at least that is what I was told by my colleague who took us there). Architecture is lovely and the restaurant service was spot on. Kudos to the Valet management team for their kindness and professionalism.

Location unsurpassed. Happy hour on deck by Ocean 4 to 7. Very social. Staff is top notch. Shutters property is actually ON the beach with attractive living spaces. Free bike usage for adults and kids. This complex is good enough for the super rich and famous and those who like to be around them. Everyone is treated the same. Excellent choice for Santa Monica. Love this place.

Beautiful view of the beach and great location, but the food was okay, menu has been redone recently. I had the cauliflower which was very dry and the salmon which was okay. Nothing very special. Ambience was nice and service was good and friendly.

I've been here a couple of times for dinner and for a wedding. This is a beautiful venue, right on the beach in Santa Monica. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and well kept.

The hotel itself is beautiful and in a stunning location right on the beach. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I've only had breakfast at the Coast restaurant but it was very good. One issue I had, is that you can hear everything that goes on in the hallways outside of the room. Doors opening and closing, people talking. There's a storage room outside of our room and the staff seem to be constantly in and out of it. Another issue, was with the plug sockets. Every time i put a plug in or pulled one out there would be a blue sparks which didn't seem particularly safe. Other than that a really I've had a really pleasant stay.
