The staff is very rude. the food subpar and the accommodations are tiny and unkempt. Oh and this B&B has bed bugs. Jus' sayin'

I am not thrilled with this facility at all to have to go and visit loved ones. It has a very eerie and creepy feel to the outside as you can see why I say that. It's one of those we see in the movies that gives you that "Feeling", not too good either. VERY EERIE!! Especially when raining and clouds are dark. NO PLACE TO STAY A NIGHT EVEN IF THEY PAY YOU TO STAY GOD BLESS ALL

The misguided people who actually cannot feel the trauma that these walls provide, are truly frozen emotionally and spiritually. I would imagine human clones would be more compassionate. Humans, are sad.

I spent one month as a holdover here in 1982 on my way to FCI Lexington, then a minimum/medium security prison. Boys and girls together! Atlanta was a trip, I was housed in the AWB building, which also housed Johnathan Silverstein in a closet Like cell with 24 hour guards. My cellys were 2 Colombians who shared their coffee and snacks with me.

Luckily I do not have the privilege of writing a true review of the Atlanta penitentiary, but the one thing I can say is that the building is truly stunning on the outside (if you look past the fences and barbed wire).

I found this place on Air BnB, while looking for long term travel arrangements while working in Atlanta. I was told "3 squares a day" before I arrived. I assumed that meant this was all inclusive. I was very excited! Upon arrival I found the security to be a little tough. Both the front desk and the concierge carried assault rifles and were very pushy! I gave it a 2nd chance, since this place already had 4 stars on google reviews. That is very good for this part of town!
They were right, all meals were included. I found the beds to be hard, and the rooms to be very empty. However you get an escort everywhere you go. That's pretty nice!. I didn't have to carry any of my bags. Although, they offered me a free set of PJ's, they left more to be desired. They left a few things out of the ad. I was not told you were not guaranteed a room by yourself, they hot water doesn't last long, and you have to pay to make phone calls. They good news is they have a full medical staff on site. It was like Hotel California thoughyou can check out, but you can never leave!

This is the holding cell for a corrupt government system continually perpetuated by the US. Though statistics suggest that white people commit as much or more crime in the US this system continues to incarcerate people of color at a rate of at least 2:1. It is being used to provide a source of cheap labor for a capitalist country in order to maintain the luxuries of a higher class, who demand more and more of the wealth, but contribute less and less. Prisoners are subjected to inhumane conditions, stripped of their humanity, and made to suffer long after serving their sentence.
