Cheap, quality, and all around great experience. I don't think you'll regret staying here.
The place was really nice, perfect for an overnight stay. I had no problems with the room or service.
I checked in about 11:30 pm. Went to my room and found hair all over both beds, on the towels, in the sink, in the shower. Stains on the sheets, mattresses and pillows. Mold growing in the shower. I called the front desk to ask about changing rooms and was told they were not allowed to change rooms after 11pm because that is the hotels quiet hours. I then asked for a refund so that I could go to another hotel and was told refund only be done in first shift by a manager. I actually ended up sleeping in the chair in the room. I went to check out the next morning and asked to speak to the manager and showed him pictures of the room. I only intended to make him aware that it was dirty and perhaps housekeeping could use some work. He said to me "how do I know you took those here and not somewhere else?" I told him to go look at the room. He came back a few minutes later and said he couldn't find anything like that and had the audacity to say he thinks I'm just trying to get money out of him. He then proceeded to escort me to the room to show him the things I was complaining about. We get to the room and the housekeeper and head housekeeper have already stripped everything off the beds. I am them verbally ambushed by the manager and head housekeeper. The manager going on about how she had worked there for 25 years. The head housekeeper ease taking about how her staff knows how to do their jobs and that they have all been there more than 10 years. The way I was treated and spoken too was totally unacceptable. Called choice hotels international after I checked out and they called the hotel and the manager told choice hotels that he would not issue a refund. Choice told me I would hear from the property owner directly, never happened. Head to call back 3 days later to be offered a 35 dollar refubd in the form of a check that would take 4 to 6 weeks. Finally ended up getting a free night at a quality inn in Charleston. Please save yourself the trouble. Stay anywhere but here!
Clean! Nice! Very effective person at reception. Bit difficult to park van and trailer, but got help from receptionist.
The guy next door supposedly a drug dealer. Visitors knocking on his door all night. The room poor looking and smelled moist.
Clean room, cold a/c. The bed could have definitely been more comfortable as well as the pillows.
Just fine if all you need are the basics. Room was clean, smelled fine. Excellent price compared to others nearby. Would have liked to have eggs included at breakfast. Shower floor was very slippery, could use some kind of traction on tub floor. Saw one dying roach on air conditioner at check out, but overall pleasant experience.
There isn't a single surface in the entire room that I felt comfortable touching. This is the nastiest place I've ever seen. If it weren't for the fact that I was on the road late I never would have stayed. Smells like piss. Carpets need vacuuming. Bedding stained. Bath tub filthy. One star is giving them too much praise.
Hotel was not worth the $150 price tagI may have overlooked some things if it were say $50 a night. Requested a bottom room, none available. Neighbors had a party at midnighthotel staff did nothing but tell me to call the cops myself. Breakfast room was tiny with only a few seats, so crowded and hot in there I just left and got breakfast elsewherenever again will I stay here.
Location is great for us as we don't like staying in downtown Savannah all the time. The rooms are average and service is good enough. Pretty sure we have mold growing in our bathtub. Also, parking is pretty terrible for this hotel, only on one side and not enough, we had to park on grass last night. Overall acceptable for somewhere to sleep, and a decent price.
Wasn't terrible but a little ridiculously priced for one night during St Patrick's weekend, plus we were charged for our room almost two weeks before actual check in. When I called, they said it was standard procedure because they were sold out for the weekend and asked if I wanted a manager to call me back. Waited three days and didn't get a phone call from anyone before I called back, by then the manager wasn't there. The rooms were ok for the price, not great but the hotel is clean and definitely renovated.
Front desk lady took 20 minutes to do a simple checking and she charge me twice. When we get to the room it wasn't bad at all they just need to change a couple of light bulbs and the shower curtain. On breakfast I give them a cero, we ended at Subway.
Room is clean yet a bit shabby; no surprise for the price. Got a double instead of a queen size bed. . . location is a quick trip to historic downtown and a twenty minute drive to tybee island.
