I remember riding downtown at night to pick up my Daddy when he worked at the U.S.Post Office in the Terminal Annex Building in the 1960's. We would pull into a dirt parking lot (now where the Reunion Hotel stands) and he would walk down behind the Post Office and cross the train tracks along a trail to the parking area with few telephone poles dimly lit. The area was not manicured. It was just a field and nobody paid that any attention back then. Daddy was working there on the 4th floor overlooking Dealey Plaza that fateful 11/22/63 afternoon.
Going into the Terminal Annex always felt so special! Being a small child I felt important because lots of work was going on and my Daddy worked here and had a desk!! Time was zooming and the mail was shipping off of the back docks. Mail trucks everywhere. That changed when the Main Post Office opened on I-30. Great Memories for me of this grand historic Dallas Terminal Annex Building. Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: Oak Cliff raised and Dallas Proud! No wonder I am a huge Post Office Fan!

Looks like a nice building. Was very interested in event on trademark. Person who answered the phone stated she had no idea about parking and that she had nothing to do with event. Attendance at event does not look good for me.
