I did not enjoy my experience at Tuthilltown. The place wasn't crowded when we first arrived, yet we waited over an hour for the meals. When it finally did arrive the food was good but not great. My steak had clearly been left sitting around cooling off and, although I don't require a huge feeding, this portion was stingy and disappointing.
Another detail, that perhaps only I would find annoying, my bourbon on the rocks was clearly measured out to be precisely one jigger. They produce decent bourbon there, but for the money it costs, they should part with the stuff a bit more freely.
The staff was apologetic but, with all of the great restaurants in the area, I will not be going back in a hurry.
A very nice experience! New York’s only distillery
Delicious mixed drinks and a lovely scenic atmosphere.
Good food, especially chicken wings. Fun people doing tasting in main house. Know their stuff.
Amazing cocktails, beautiful relaxing setting with babbling brooks and field, and the distillery is producing some great whiskeys and gin. A gem in the hudson valley
Great team, great drinks and great food. Planning on staying here next time we are around!!!
Our tour guide was great, entertaining and funny! Made the experience a blast! 😀
Do the tour & tasting! And definitely try their half moon gin if you like gin.
Beautiful grounds, extremely enthusiastic / friendly / knowledgeable staff. Place has an interesting history and learned a lot about whiskey/alcohol production during the tour. Has a nice restaurant and shop where you can taste their products.
Beautiful area, great staff and the tour was well worth the travel. Highly recommend
Great drinks, the tours are fun. It's so great to see a small company in the Catskills/Hudson Valley come up. Small roots and great drinks. Not disappointed at all.
