We have stayed in Beach House Rentals properties numerous times over the past two years, and I truly can't say enough good things about them. The properties are beautiful, perfectly located in the heart of Capitola-by-the-Sea, and the staff managing and maintaining them are the best of the best. Our visits involved well-traveled guests visiting from abroad who were also very impressed with the level of quality service they received from BHR. Whether via flexibility with our start/end dates, very fast responses to maintenance calls, or working with us to find the ideal locations for our various stays, we consistently found Beach House Rentals to be highly professional, attentive, and super easy to work with. We would definitely recommend their services to anyone visiting the Santa Cruz area.

I have used Beach House Rentals for the last three years. Leslie Chavez has proven to be a real godsend.She is extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly treats her clients like family. My wife and I can prove to be challenging as our needs are everchanging.Despite this fact, Leslie has never failed to provide a wonderful rental property. We are deeply appreciative of Beach House Rentals and especially Leslie for their continued efforts on our behalf.

We you seat house rental every year and have created a wonderful family tradition. They're so helpful in finding the right location and if you have any questions they're quick to follow up. So convenient and nice to know what to expecta great vacation.

We've used Beach House Rentals three times now and absolutely love their list of homes and service! The homes we've stayed at have been conveniently located, comfortable, clean, and just a great place to spend a family vacation. We will definitely use them again!

I have rented from Beach House Rentals and Dede Harrington for 14 years. I drive from Dallas to spend the month of July in Capitola with my northern California family. When we first rented, my oldest grandson was 1 and he climbed the play structures at the mall and picked up rocks on the beach. Now he and his younger brother are surfers. I have rented three different houses and each time the place has been clean and fairly well furnished when we arrive. The specific furnishings are at the discretion of the owners. When we have had any problem, from trouble turning on the television to a clogged sink, the staff at Beach House Rentals have responded promptly, no matter the time of day, even the 4th of July. All of the staff are friendly and thoughtful. Beach House Rentals exemplifies the Gold Standard.

Last weekend we rented an amazing beach house through Beach House Rentals right in the heart of Capitola. It was everything you would imagine a beach house to look and feel like. Incredible views, extremely clean and well kept house. Plenty of condiments in the fridge (salt, pepper,etc. ) stuff you may not think to bring, but it was there.
And a few days after our vacation was over and we were home, I realized I forgot my bluetooth speaker at the house!?! I called into Beach House Rentals, told them where I left the speaker in the house, they texted me back an hour later, found my speaker and shipped it back to me within a few days, at no-charge. Thank you Sara :-)
An amazing experience through and through. I've recommended them to a few friends already, and hope this Yelp review helps sway your opinion to use them, because they are worth it!response / report this review -

We rented a great place for the Begonia Festival for Friday thru Monday. We specifically asked if there have been any comments about foot traffic on the floor above us. We were told that it has never come up, which now we find very hard to believe. It sounded like the people above were wearing "clogs" all day, at 7am, 8 am, throughout the day, at 9pm, 11pm and 2am. Even after calling the next morning, the "clogging" continued.
Very disappointed. We asked about this prior to booking and would have selected a different property. We felt like the revenue was more important than our experience.response / report this review -

We gathered for sisters week in beautiful sunny Capitola, CA. Upon arriving at our beach bungalow we were immediately impressed. We opened the door to a exceptionally clean and unique living quarters. This place has all the accommodations and feelings of cottage charm. It is uniquely located near the beach, shopping, restaurants, Grocery store and more, all within walking distance. It is amazingly quite and a great neighborhood. I highly recommend 222 San Jose Ave.

This whole experience was awesome.
Sara at the rental office was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, patiently nagged me for my paperwork and was extremely flexible with my check in and check out process.
The property itself suited us just wonderfully. We loved sitting out on the deck in the early morning to listen to the ocean. Also, you can't beat the location, just steps from downtown Capitola, the beach and Capitola Warf! When we arrived, it was clear the home was deep cleaned from top to bottom and everything was in perfect working condition.
I highly recommend working with Beach House Rentalsespecially if you're considering taking the dogs (2 max) along! There are no additional fees or contractual agreements just as long as Fido minds the house rules.
