Music is good, ambiance and layout for listening is great. Food is so-so, especially for the price. Was expecting a bit more for the food!!

Ordered the Cuban sandwich, but got the bbq pork instead. It was still a really good sandwich though. Softest ciabatta I ever had! They load it up with pork as well. My friends enjoyed their meals as well.

Surprisingly good food, ambiance and entertainment!
The Towne Crier is a long established venue that originally played local and national folk, blues and other live music in Pawling. It moved to Beacon a few years ago and my wife and I finally went again. It's a different neighborhood and atmosphere. The foods better. We went on a Open Mic night. I cringed at the opening acts but they progressed quickly. The last few performers were superb. The desserts and specialty drinks are an enhancement that really helps let the music move you. Cafe, bar, restaurant and concert hall all in one location. The brunch selection was limited, and the food was so-so. However, they provide live music from local artists.

Good food, good music. I went to see Joe Louis Walker and the venue was perfect for dinner and a show. I had the burger, which I really enjoyed. I tried the black bean soup and it was fantastic. Definitely recommended.

A number of different areas within the building - main stage room, smaller dining area with stage area, bar, etc. Good variety of local and nationally known performers - many different varieties of music. Seems to be a bit oriented towards folk music, "americana", singer/songwriter - some blues bands, jazz and rock, etc. The food is good but not cheap. The music cover charge is, in my opinion, usually excessive for a club in Dutchess county. The main stage room has a good sound system but can get noisy on crowded nights and, often, I find the sound mixing a bit lacking. It often will cost $ 175 + for 2 people for dinner and a show (if the performer is a "name" act). I'd rather go across the street and a couple of blocks away to Quinn's to hear live music. Being overpriced is my main reason for giving this place 3 stars. If prices were more reasonable would be 4+ stars. The front dining room music area is a much better deal - no cover and an airier, more open feeling smaller space with better natural acoustics than the main stage room.

Visited last night to see Michelle Shocked. Always a wonderful place for live music. The sound is great. Good food too. Had the Asian dumpling soup, delicious.
