The hotel is very welcoming. The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. The only reason this is not a full 5 stars is because even with every light on in the room the room was still too dark to do anything but watch television. The bathroom was fantastic. There is a walk in shower/wet room as well as a private toilet within the bathroom space. More than ample space on the counter with two sinks. The closet space is substantial. There is an ironing board and iron. The room is adequately furnished. However, it could have used a table that one could eat off of. There is a desk and work space and I guess you could use the desk as a table but you would have rearrange the furniture to do that. There is a small kitchen area that includes a nice sized mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig coffee maker with K -cups. A nice surprise was the coffee maker cones with ceramic mugs. I hate to drink coffee from a paper or plastic cup. Kudos to whomever thought that ceramic mugs would be better! I look forward to having a reason to return.

After staying overnight for a corporate holiday party my wife and I had brunch in the hotel resteraunt.
We were told by the front desk staff member that the buffet was $14.95 a person.
Combined my wife and I had 3 piece of prime rib, 3 slices of fruit, 3 sausage links, 2 pieces of bacon, 1 piece of French toast, 1 scoop of fried potatoes, a glass of OJ a glass of tea and a hot tea.
All the food except for the prime rib was dried out and barely edible. The prime rib was done nicely.
    We got the check.
    It was $71 and change!
$71 fricken dollars! What the hell?
With tip this fiasco of a buffet cost $83 for what could t be more than $8 worth of food.
This place is a rip off.
    Never go there.
Never book an event or have anything catered because all of your guests, friends and family will hate it and you’ll be overcharged!

Was there this past weekend for a nearby wedding.
Hotel was full of drunks fighting late at nigh. Seems that guests attending the holiday parties drink too much, stay in the hotel, and bring the "party" with them. Police were called Friday and Saturday nights. I wouldn't stay there again.

Everything was clean and fresh and the staff was extremely professional and helpful. The room itself was very dark. Not enough wattage in these new light bulbs for my liking. Also the updated shower has a soap bar that needs to be repositioned so you don't hit it with your elbow. The towels and toiletries provided were excellent.

Turf Valley is an incredible place to go if you like golf.. However, there is something there for people who want to relax, enjoy time with family and to recharge. The scenery is really nice for folks who want to take walks or to take in the surroundings while there.

They have a spa, a nice restaurant, nice rooms and is a great place to do many things even if golf is not for you.

I ate at the Alexandra's restaurant here. I was thoroughly impressed though pulling into the resort. The restaurant was not fully packed and it was dinner time which had me a little worried about the quality of food. However I was extremely impressed. I got the crab cakes, steak, and mac and cheese with crab and it was some of the best food I've ever had. The beer special was also only $4.50 for an import. This restaurant was on SkyMiles dining which was basically the only reason that I chose to come here but I was happy with the choice that I made. If you are in this area I highly recommend swinging by here.

I love this place. It's very beautiful and peaceful. The staff members were friendly and helpful. There's plenty of room to explore. The food was also great. I will go back at some point.

This is a very nice resort with a lot of amenities. It is not exceptional. One thing I found lacking was a safe in the room. It has a very comfortable bed, a mini-fridge, and a sink in the same area. The room is spacious; has a desk, sofa, and large arm chair. The outer wall is 3 patio doors to allow air in but there is no patio or balcony to sit out on. It was a nice experience and I would come back

Located in the nice suburban area of Ellicot City off the Beltway 70 W towards Fredrick. Nice Resort, golf course, Spa and conference center. Vast luxurious fields of green and landscaping. Conference center rooms cozy and comfortable with comfortable seating and desks with outlets for plugging in devices. Hotel has a really nice restaurant Alexandra's with menu of local favorites, Maryland Crab Cakes, Surf and Turf, Appetizers, salads and entrees to meet every palate. Portion sizes are adequate and reasonably priced. Dining room spacious. Professional, courteous wait staff. Bathrooms clean

Had a girl's weekend at the "resort" and could not have been more disappointed. The walls are so thin I could literally hear the neighbors use the toilet. The pillows were far feom luxorious. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. We had to purchase a cooler to keep our drinks cold. The indoor pool and hot tub were full of unsupervised kids splashing and jumping. I filled out for the spa online and someone was supposed to contact me with 24 hours. No one ever called about their availability. We were just all around disappointed for the amount of money paid. I absolutely would never go here again and would NOT recommend it to anyone.

The setting was excellent, very beautiful and clean. The room I was in itself was very spacious, with very comfortable chairs and lots of room. The bar was nice, the only complaint about the actual service I had was that the water ran out and wasn't replaced instantly. Very excellent service and setting.

Attended a work conference, gorgeous grounds and nice facilities and wish I could've taken advantage of them more. Service was all fine as well. Good experience all around.

Turf Valley is a beautiful resort. I have been there for several company conference. My last time there was for a wedding which was held outside in the back of the resort and it was beautiful out there looking at God's green earth. There are golfers out playing golf, people walking their pets, etc. I never slept at the resort but a beautiful resort overall.
