The new casino on land is way better I think than when it was on the boat. I wish drink prices were cheaper though. Regardless, the experience is fun and exciting.

They did a nice job with the new land based casino. Dealers are super friendly and there is lots of action and money to be won. I also recommend the Le Merigot hotel if staying the night. Entertainment is sub par though.

The new casino is awesome. Very pretty. They have a club that plays music loud enough for the whole casino to hear. Staff are friendly. Way easier to get to than the that boat. Smoky as heck though.

Tropicana Casino is on a boat barge in the river dried steady I don't move but they're building one on land across the street there is a lot of construction going on they have valet parking which I love and they will bring the car around to you if you call them when you get ready to leave. But you have to watch it sometimes you win sometimes you lose my suggestion is don't take any ATM cards in and only take what you going to spend you know what you're willing to lose and if you can switch your driver's license here in the casino card and stuff if you put it in your pocket better than having a purse that I've won and lost big at times from both cards and what they call it one-arm Bandits the slots I like it

Went here on a girls road trip.The hotel was very pleasant, the food was good, staff was helpful and nice. As far as parking is concerned, they are in the process of remodeling so parking is totally in the parking garage (valet as well), this made for a bit of congestion. The Casino was fun, a bit smoky but not to the extent of being horrible. Playing slots in casino was fun, although we did not win a major jackpot!!

Great place to stay or work. The hotel rooms are large and very clean. All of the staff member I came in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurants aren't too expensive; food quality and quantity was excellent. I did not like the casino because the tobacco smell was overbearing. Gambling was fun; all the machines worked fine. Security made me feel safe and everyone was having fun. My experience was great.

Love visiting here personally. The river boat could use updating but they are building the new casino even though I love the boat. Its a fun place and some times we win sometimes we lose. Hotel is great and love the river views when you get one. Bars and restaurants are fun. Main bar has good entertainment some times. Love the houses near there and river walk. I just enjoy going there all around. I gave it a 4 star because there are a few things that could be made better but it's still one of my favorite places to gamble and stay!

Lots of different machines, both old and new. They are moving to a new building from the boat in a couple of months. The cafe and food choices for late night are horrible, and close too early. Many were getting turned away because they were closed. Free soda and coffee with all the fixings, including flavored creamer. Machines pay and take it back, but overall a good time.

Although it wasn't advertised upon my reservations, we were given a smoking room for the 1st night. It was absolutely horrible. The next day we were able to move to a non-smoking room, but we reeked the rest of the weekend.

Casino and hotel. On site restaurants and bars with small gift shops. Covered parking garage and located on the Ohio river in downtown area. Live music on weekends and friendly staff. Casino is smoking permitted on 2nd and 3rd floor while bottom floor is non smoking. Wheelchair accessible and friendly staff with free coffee and soda. Walking path in front of casino for a stroll parallel to the river. Hotel has very nice clean rooms but does not offer a common area pool or hot tub. This hotel is not equipped to facilitate kids entertainment.

This place is amazing! Clean and big huge rooms, bathrooms are spectacular, you get wonderful views of the river! Plus the major bonuses are you have the casino right there in the same building! Plus there are a lot of different type restaurants all within the inside of the same building! A must stay for you !

To be honest, for as much as it is to rent a room, per night, I was a little disappointed. The only alluring aspect is how the Tropicana overlooks the Ohio River. The rooms however were no better than what I found at Comfort Inn. So basically you are paying for the River View and I guess close proximity to the casino. Depending on what you are in the mood for, be prepared to fork over the dough.
